IGN Daily Fix 11-2-09

Microsoft warned you they would begin a mass ban of xbox live accounts to those who pirate xbox 360 games. They will continue to go after modded systems. So if you escaped it this round don't think you are safe.



There are over 2500 people playing Modern Warfare 2. I hope the ones with illegal copies get banned, both live account and console. I have paid my $73.48 from gamestop and I will have the game on Tuesday the 10th. Hopefully, they will get what is coming to them...

It's amazing that people actually do stuff like that. All these creative developers and graphic designers who devote so much effort and energy to create these games so that we can enjoy them, and people aren't even willing to pay money for it. I just think like, don't you have a job? If you work, is $60 really all that much for something with excellent lasting value...that you will probably be playing for at least a year and a half (assuming you are into multiplayer)? Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Support the developers. Don't steal from them.

Hmm...I imported GhostBusters from the US because there was nothing out when it was released there and there it lots coming out when it's released here in the UK should i be worried, or do MS have a way of telling the diffrence between a legit imported game and a copy played on a modded system?

i dont understand why people care so much about people playing a game before the release date. some people just have connections. Why dont you just say you hate people who piriat any game and not just one you want so bad.

Why do people get mad because these pirates get to get dibs on these games earlier? I don't waste my mind on it. I don't really get angry at pirates for downloading the game, I get mad at them for exploiting the game and cheating. Much like what they've recently done with the Gears of War 2 iso hack...very annoying hack that screwed me out of my #9 spot in the world wide leaderboards.

ive been trying to figure out the same thing along with some of the responses in similar threads like this. yeh sure pirates and hackers but why hate some one who has said connections? i wonder if MS can tell the dif. between a pirated game and a legit game that was obtained early :?

good.. everyone with a pirated game or modded system should be banned, thats why i love PS3, no pirates or modded anything!

that, or the fact that they believe they dont have to pay for a game that everyone else does. What makes them so special that they can rip off the devs who spend countless hours trying to make their game?
