Whenever I play Im always the guy that has the crappy connection and cant join games. If your one of those people you know how infuriating that is.Ive got a Linksys WRT54G. Im anything but a networking wiz although I think Ive gotten better because now I actually know how to access my router's web page. Ive read endless forums about how to fix the NAT but none have helped, Im still moderate.

The Important things I have changed so far are:

Ports 53 88 and 3074 are all all enabled on both TCP and UDP(to a different IP than my xbox is using?)

Ive got DMZ enabled to the same IP address my Xbox is using (Automatic: good, bad?)

UPnP is ENABLED

Thats everything i thought was important. From what Ive read, my connection should be incredible right now but it still doesnt work. Sometimes I fix it then itll just go back to Moderate or worse.

Do I need to upgrade my firmware? Im not sure of the last time I did that.

Any Help is appreciated

PS Point form answers are easier

PSS Im in Canada if that changes anything

It's a medium-length read, but I cover alot of stuff that might help you out in my blog. It's got some setting adjustments and covers a few basics if you are having wifi problems.

Here's the first one which will probably help a bit more

And here's the second one which might also help out a bit.

If you read it, I hope it helps you out or gets you pointed in the right direction.

NICE!! I changed my MTU to 1300 then tested. Said MTU needed to be 1364 or higher. I changed it back, tested and its open! (well, it didnt say it was moderate). I dont really know how that fixed anything but thanks! I just hope it stays this way :D

If you have the DMZ open on your 360's ip address than you don't need to forward your ports. Since you know what ports to open, you might as well disable the DMZ just to be on the safe side.

I have the same router, and a 512kbs speed, and mine lags one out of 6 games, but I am using a 50 foot Ethernet cable, and I am fairly satisfied. Most 50' cables are only around $10.

When you use DMZ, you have to use it on a static IP.
