Well I think xbl should allows games like fps's to have more ppl. The most people I've seen in a game is 24. Even the Ps3 has more with 40 in Ressitstance and there's gonna be 60 in Ressistance 2. I would like it if the 360 could do this too. I mean why don't they do this lag probably wouldn't be that bad. I'm just wondering if XBL is going to do this and if others also want more ppl in a game.

Truthfully I am fine with 16-24 players. Think about it, most games (except halo or COD) take forever to find all sixteen players anyway, so if you had a game that supported 60 players on the 360 the chances are that if it weren't a huge sell out game, you would never see more than 20 players anyway. When a game gets outdated this noticably happens as well. It is hard to find a party of 10 to play on COD2 now. All in all, I don't think it is really worth it, if a game can do it without producing lag, great, if not it won't change how I view microsoft's games anyway.

As long as you the Host are the server there is no way most people have a connection fast enough to support any more than 24 players in a match, I can only host a match of 12 with no problems anything more and lag really starts to set in for other players.

Bandwidth is a huge issue, even though most are using broadband connections not all connections are equal.

Net is still based around the concept of more download less upload which of course is quickly becoming a bad thing given user content, voip, servers etc.
