I've played both and I think CoD4 is the more realistic one. What do you think?

The ability to cook grenades and throw them back at an enemy also adds to the realism.

Vegas, the single player in COD4 is still arcade like. (it takes half a clip sometime to down a enemy)

The story of Rainbow Six is so unrealistic, and I don't say that COD 4 story is unrealistic because allCOD games are exagerated but that is COD.

Raibow Six is with SWAT, and tactics so the game would be better if it was super realistic, but instead, they chose to make the story of 24. When I play the game, it seems that I am Jack Bauer, saving the country of a million terorrists and when I do something right, they show me that there is more, like a bomb or a hostage. In fact, those are the only objectives in the game, go secure the hostage and everything is ok, but wait, they have another bomb, it's the fifth inan hour.

Are you a soldier or ex soldier who knows what a real battle is? Have you seen combat first hand?

Only if you are or were a soldier with combat experience could you say which game is the more realistic.

you can however say which one looks more realistic based on your belief of how combat in a war would be.

Thats a hard one. I will go with Rainbow 6 Vegas. If Call of Duty 4 had the cover system it would have been more realistic. And i feel the weapons sounded better in Rainbow 6.

However....the ability to shoot through some walls in COD4added realism to it somewhat.

welll if u guys did not notice,it takes jus 1 bullet to bring a guy down with a headshot in R6V but in Cod 4 you ned like 3 or 4. just try it out.....tap the trigger do not hold it and shoot it at someones head in Cod 4 and youll see that they wont die, yet if you tap it twice they will.

Being a former Army Ranger I would say neither are very realistic, but COD 4 gives me the feeling of real combat in Iraq that I actually experienced. The tension in the action is awesome and the AC-130 mission is pretty close to real if you have ever been on the ground when Spectre is on station.

Some of you say that the cover system makes the R6 more realistic, but I mean whats realistic about seeing your whole body press up against a wall and being able to look around a corner without moving your head out to look? I'm not bashing the game, just thought I would point that out as of being "realistic"

RSV. In CoD 4 it takes multiple shots to the head to achieve a head shot.

r6vegas i don't think cod4 was ever intended to be realistic its a twitch shooter. the shooting through walls is realistic the way its done though isn't though its like the wall doesn't even exist and rb6 vegas does have bullet ricocheting. there two different games though for different audiences.

Hmmm, Rainbow on realistic or COD4 on veteran...

I would say their about even...

IN Rainbow, if you get hit in the head you die, in COD you just get hit.

COD you can shoot through walls and take down an enemy..

You can only take 1-3 bullets on veteran

Rainbow six is just cheap though, the campaign on realistic is borderline unfair because of where the enemies are placed.

Rainbow six also has very few checkpoints, which drives me up the wall.

They're even, to me.

eh they are both ridiculously hard, its tough

seeing your whole body and around the corner is nothing like blind firing.

head shots do work in COD but ppl use juggernaut

COD isn't supposed to be realistic, it never has been. R6V is however supposed to include more realistic elements into the gameplay. COD is going to have a more intense war like feeling to it, but it ISa war game whereas R6V is more of a counter terrorism thing.

I beat Vegas's realistic and it's kind of the same diffculty and kinda not. COD has the more realism I thiink.

In Vegas your teammates barely support you through the levels, Vegas fails on this but COD doesn't. I'm not saying the guys don't screw you over in COD either(that mile high club crap was ridiculous) but it does do a better job then Rainbow. Also the AI compared I'd say their about even.

Yeah.Call of Duty 4 does give you an intense realistic experience that R6 just can't quite match.
