More than 1 person with an online account?

If you have more than one person using the same xbox and each peson has their own accounts, do you need to buy gold membership for all the accounts that want to play online? or does the whole xbox get the membership and let all players online?

each person needs their own account if you plan on playing ranked matches.

otherwise others can play on one account in unranked matches on one console, they will be (your gamertag)001 002 and 003
