Mile high club was hard but not annoying. I think the "Seriously..." and "Seriously... 2.0" Achievements in Gears 1 & 2 are the most annoying. 2.0 isn't that bad because they count offline locust kills and horde mode is cool but I hated multiplayer in Gears 1 so that was the most annoying one for me. It was just unattainable unless you played the terrible multiplayer.
dead rising survive for 5/7 days achievments: the goals were more boring than annoying, but what made them annoying was that you get a freaking pair of boxers for the seven day one

the advanced map achievements for portal. has anyone gotten those? im talking about the ones - get gold/silver/bronze on all maps. some of those types are way too difficulot on console.

FIFA09 I forget the name. They give you 1G for playing FIFA over 50 hours.
Hell yeah, Don't Get Cocky Kid on Dead Space was so annoying. I wanted that one so bad but no luck. I don't think Seriously 2.0 is that annoying you just have to play it A LOT.

i felt like alot of the NHL 08 achievements were either really difficult or took a long time to get. also those ones from portal that someone mentioned. doing the puzzle with only taking 5 steps???? also the two for one in halo i cant seem to get. its pretty common to get a double with a laser on the other game modes but NEVER on lone wolves.

I only have to disagree with this a little bit... in RB they need an achievement for people who have dropped out of online matches a lot, a "I suck at online and am a pansy" achievement. Humiliating people that deserve it from bad gamemanship seems completely acceptable IMO.

I agree some of my favorite achievements were getting all of them COD 4 and 5. I really didn't think veteran was too hard, played about 3 - 4 hours a day and had them in about 5 days.
Viva Pinata was such a crappy game that I couldn't shovel down any of the achievements but I think the award would go to Gears of War 2 for Seriously 2.0, or even some of the multiplayer achievements since the MP in that game is busted.

Oh, yeah, that's still pissing me off. i won't advance on my second playthrough until I've done it though. Another annoying one is 'No Life' on C&C 3 - Play multiplayer for 100 hours for 100G.
I gotta say the ones that you don't need to put any effort into getting such as simply watching the opening movie to the new Prince of Persia. It really just annoys me because it just kills the meaning of acheivement.

Why ? These are great achievements. I hate games that just give out achievements for doing the simplest tasks; games like King Kong, Avatar and Lost have the worst achievements in history. The acheivements should all be a challenge, but unfortunately it`s a bit too late for that. The higher the gamerscore, the more likely that person just plays incredibly crappy games to boost his gamerscore to make it seem like he`s some sort of hardcore gamer.

They're only achievements. Since when did gamerscores become more important than the games themselves? I like achievements, they're kind of cool but I certainly wouldn't be getting a friend to get me a tough one because 'I feel like smashing the tv'.
Any achievement on NFL Head Coach 09. There should be an achievement for anyone who plays it, and then actually decides to play it again. Worst game ever...
probrably the ones that want you to collect things like 100 flags or 41 collectibles. also ones that want you to play 1000 online matches or kill 100,000 people cough cough gears 2
what is really annoying for me is "Safety First" from Left 4 Dead. every time I start shooting the zombies, the stupid AI jumps in front of my shots and it cancels out the achievement. that and "Unbreakable." when I get to the finale, the AI heals me right when the rescue arrives. :(

for unbreakable, just play with random people and tell them not to heal u, and dont worry about dieing, ull still get it, thats how i got it, i can even help if u want, i still need safety first aswell
