Most of my arcade games have become trial versions ONLY when I'm offline

Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie and Scrap Metal are all full versions if I'm connected to Xbox Live. Whenever I'm not, they instantly become trial versions. Scott Pilgrim and N+ are always full versions though. Those last 2 are the most recently downloaded games and I downloaded them after this problem started.

I used to be able to play the full versions offline. I specifically remember doing so. I don't have wifi so this is kind of a problem.

Anyone know whats causing this?

have you bought a new xbox 360 since you bought the earlier games?

If so you may need to transfer the licenses for the games to the new xbox 360, you can do this from xbox.com

I haven't bought another Xbox but at some point I did have to send it in for repairs. Though I'm not sure if it was after that when this problem started. Could fixing it have caused this?

they've probably changed the console or tranfered your data to a new harddrive without telling you. Thats the only way you can end up with that from the sounds of it

well when i sent my console in for rrod they gave me a different console, which also got rrod so they gave me another one. You dont get the same console you sent in back in my experience. Being a different console is what would lead to you not being able to play them offline.

I never got the same console back either. I'm pretty sure they never send back the same console. They just send you another refurbished one.

Here is your answer. When you send your console in for repairs, you are getting a refurbished console returned to you. One that has been sent in previously and is already repaired. This is how you get a faster turnaround. Otherwise, you might be waiting weeks and weeks for your actual console to get repaired and returned to you. Your console is getting repaired but when it is ready, it will be sent out to someone else when they send theirs in. Skull-Fire, if you ever have to go through this process again, keep an eye on the Serial number of your console. When a console gets sent back to you, you'll see that the serial number is different, meaning a different console. So since your purchased downloads are tied to both your Gamertag AND your Console, you have to go through the license transfer process to prove you are who you are, which will allow you play your games offline. It's all that DRM crap. I hate it. It's necessary, but it's a pain to work around. And BTW, they tell you not to include your HDD when sending your console in. They don't want to be responsible for your data getting lost. Unless there is a problem with the HDD itself, there is no reason for you to send it to them.
