Aladin for genesis can't get enough of that game I hope they release it on xbl arcadejc_tkml
OMG, Aladdin was such a fun game... way better than the SNES version too.
But all in all, I think what we're talking about here are unsung games rather than underrated. Viva Pinata, IMO, is 360's unsung game... but the ratings are more or less accurate. River City Ransom for the NES kindof became a cult hit, but anyone who DID play it holds it in very high regard... unsung.
Unsung: nobody really talks it up, largely forgotten but unjustly so
Underrated: everyone says it sucks, but it really doesn't... people don't think it's as good as it is.

Thief definitely was a great game, but for me I was following the game until its release. The most underrated I believe was Beyond Good & Evil. That game was really fun even though it seemed like just a kids game, it wasn't.Â

Believe it or not, i think its Final Fantasy IX... It was overshadowed by VII and VIII... Imo, its the best final fantasy game out there!NellynowayI agree! My favorite game of all time!
There are for me lots of underrated games for each system. Thief was great. For nes it was Solstice and Equinox. I also had a lot of fun with Psi-ops. I also remember enjoying The Lost Vikings for snes. Geeze, I can't get it down to one!! I'm sure there are some gems out there that none of us have played. If we find one, there should be a place to list them so we can go back and check out the ones we missed.:Ddynomitemasta
LOL. I still play Solstice every now and then. You can throw in Landstalker for Genesis as well.
final fantasy ix was overrated if anything, it didn't even deserve to have the title final fantasy in front of that ix.
i think vagrant story might be the most underrated game ever... even though critics loved it, no one else ever gave it a chance. it was a great game.
