battlefield series, call of duty 4.EvilDude456
Rofl. Buddy, get out from under that rock of yours.
Anyway, my choice would have to be Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. For what its worth, I thought it was a fantastic game; maybe not up to par with the PC Battlefield 2, but great nonetheless.
Mine is GUN. How about you?iwantasong
I will say GUN was good on PS2 but I went to play it on 360 on the insane mode and I couldn't stand it and gave up.
Overall at the time it came out and months after, Condmned I thought was always underrated. And I think Team Fortress 2 gets overlooked due to Cod4 and Halo. I love it because despite what happens I can't really get angry at that game.
Psi Opsalayeesquire
I second that. Also, if we're basing this on reviews, then I would say Army of Two. That game is amazing.
for Xbox 360, spiderman 3 and Avatar (no one likes the ease of their achievements, which I could give a crap about)
for anything else, Quest 64

Lol i played that it was the most horrible thing i've ever played. It's been years and i can still remember how bad that thing was.
Otogi 1&2 very underrated. Gameplay was fantastic.SrLynxWow someone mentioned Otogi! I own both of these amazing gems that can even rival Ninja Gaiden for best action game on the original Xbox! Also for the Xbox, Phantom Dust is an INCREDIBLE and innovative game that no one played and also has some of the best graphics of the last generation 360-esque almost.
PS1: Final Fantasy IX; Never have I seen a game with such a well crafted set of characters, relationships, music, plot, writing, setting and combat be so overlooked. FFIX was a silid title that I came into fully expecting to hate the cutesy looking characters and seemingly harmless looking world- until I played it of course. It's some of the best writing I've seen in a game, some of the best characters I've ever seen, it's moving, it's funny, it's harsh, it's happy, it's morbid, it's hopeful and above all it's absolutely astonishingly good. The inclusion of little optional cutscenes (Active Time Event) makes you feel more that you're seeing a story unfold than other FF games, and serves to endear itself all the more as far as I'm concerned.
One of the best games of it's type of all time. It deserves to be played by all.
Honerable Mention: Legend of Dragoon; Check it up in Wikipedia, as I can't describe how much I like that game in the time I have right now....epic isn't the word for it!
PS2: Genji; One of the most overlooked games I've played- it had a good storyline, a nice form of gameplay somewhere between Devil May Cry and Dynasty Warriors, but with a nice balance and actual tactics to your play. Very original title when it came out as well.
PC: Fallout Tactics; Fallout's newer, more lean sibling- it didn't have the great balance of storyline and exploration that Fallout and Fallout 2 had, but what it has got is a solid Action-RPG system, a nice mission system, excellent acting (As always in Fallout games) great sound, nice choice of characters, great level design, vehicular combat and the sense of feeling that yo're actually leading a military team in Post Apocalyptic America. It was a great game that was unfortunate enough to have the 'Fallout' brand on it- it always spealt doom for this title as people wanted a new RPG, not this.
Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey,
bulletsword
I'd agree with Lost Odyssey, it's an excellent example of how video games are catching up to movies in terms of emotional content, narrative, good writing and a solid plotline that taps every emotion.
Eternal Sonata was an excellent game at the core ruined by what I consider to be the worst ending to a video game I've ever witnessed. It was like Tony Robbins shat out a book that just happened to make up the ending.
'DO NOT WORRY, THERE IS STILL TIME!'
Time to do what? You're taking up all my time telling me this self help garbage!! :p
Wasn't a fan, but that tangent aside it had some properly good moments and examples of good writing.
