This fall all these "new" Elites will already be outdone by the newer 360's. Thats because the new chips are supposedly coming this fall, according to CNET. MS could have SO very easily waited until the new chips come out to pull this little Elite stunt, but they knew that if they went ahead and sold it, then they could get buyers now, and then get some of those same buyers to buy again when the new chips come out thus gaining profits off of this minimal update to their console, because some people just HAVE to have the latest technology. So thanks MS for continuing to prove your greed and showing us how you feel about your customers. This whole post may sound anti-MS and fanboyish, but its not. Its just absolute BS that they keep pulling crap like this and people fall for it and then defend them. You cannot defend this, just a few months, THATS ALL, a few months is all they had to delay the release of the Elite, and then it would have been a true worthy upgrade.
Lol stop your whining. Lemme ask you something. How does this affect you in a negative manner? Who cares?? My xbox broke on me and I sent it to microsoft and got a brand new one back in one week, with a free month of xbox live. Thats sounds like super bad greedy company to me. (yea sure my xbox breaks so they just gimme a brand new one.... SUPER GREEDY YA!)
MS is not pulling are legs to buy ther products. the newer chips are cost effective for the company. there not the only company that does this.Nintendo comes out with handhelds every year and consumers buy them without complaining. besides, MS geared the elite towards new customers and stated it. reason why they didnt inclue the transfer cable originaly.
