That would be a really good idea.
There are already rental sites that will send you unlimited DVD's for a monthly fee, and with downloads making it even easier, then this seems like a great opportunity.
Wait a sec, you mean if i buy a movie from the marketplace it expires in 1 day?? that sucks!angryguywalking
It expires 1 day after you hit Play. You can keep it for up to a week without watching it but after you start the movie, it expires in 24 hours.

2 weeks for some i think (Wyatt Earp)
It would be pretty useless for anywhere other than the USA - since in Canada, we only have about 50 movies (plenty of them boring/garbage). But, a good idea none the less.

Wow you guys have only 50 movies to choose from up there in Canada? That sucks we have like 400 and something down here most them suck but most of the new releases come out. Its weird hoe they region lock stuff, I live in WA and am only like an hour and a half from Vancouver you would think the would give everybody in NA the same stuff.

You're not buying them, you're renting. The 24 hour rule is a bit silly in my opinion though, it should be a week. Blockbuster doesn't demand that you return a DVD you've rented within 24 hours of starting it, so MS shouldn't either.
To the TC: I think this is a great idea, I have a ZunePass and it's awesome. I get sick of music fairly quickly, and unless an album is a must-have I generally regret buying CDs after a while. Zune allows me to try music I would never have bought. If i really love an album, I buy the CD. If not, it gets deleted. And all for the price of one CD a month.
I think they are planning just this sort of service, as part of the Netflix partnership. I wish they'd get on with it. :D
