Man just post this in general games discussion instead of spamming all the boards with the same topic.

My vote goes to single player btw.

Multiplayer all the way! Don't get me wrong, the single player mode is always fun but nothin' compared to the multiplayer mode. Whether it's online or off, multiplayer always seems more fun then single player.

SP has to look better and of course it has to have a captivating plot. MP can lack in looks but should be jam packed with features to keep its longevitiy high, massive win for COD4 in doing both exceptionally well.

MP is fast becoming a must for me to buy a game unfortunately. It's one of the main reasons I haven't shelled out $60 for BioShock. I can't seem to stay interested enough anymore throughout five plus playthroughs like I used to with KOTOR and GoldenEye 007.

I'd have to say single player, i have a gold account on live but hardly use it because theres always some saddo out there that plays a game to death and just ruins it. plus you dont get nothing out of multiplayer apart from points which i couldnt care about. I prefer to play friends i know for a better multiplayer experience.

Multiplayer will keep the game alive! i mean look at Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3, well not so much Halo 3 but you get my point.

multiplayer... you can only be entertained by yourself for so long... (about 4 hours)... whereas multiplayer can go on for months at the same level of fun

While I enjoy a good multiplayer (CoD 4) I really enjoy the singleplayer portion more as that is a bigger draw to me.

I like them both equally. While the multiplayer always stays fresh and gives you new challenges with each match, the single player delivers something that the multiplayer cannot. Imagine playing Call of Duty 4 without ever being able to experience the AC130 gunship mission... or any of the missions for that matter. At the difficulty that is right for you, single player presents an awesome challenge while keeping you on the edge of your seat as you are engrossed in an amazing story. Why do you think battlefield implemented a story mode to their single player?

I prefer single player and splitscreen multiplayer with my mates, but online multiplayer can be addciting too. So, I am 50/50 with single player and multiplayer.

The single player experience of some games is amazing but the game I play the most on my 360 is PES 2007 online. I could play online matches all day. If your interested in playing a match sometime send me a message, I'm always looking for someone to play against. ok getting off topic. Both have their strong points and I like both of them equally.

Me too.  Have you noticed some games are being made with shorter and shorter sp campaigns, and then selling you on a great multiplayer?  I don't know.  But it is something I noticed, esp with COD4...

multiplayer because after i beat a game once it's usually hard to have as much fun with it the second time through. multiplayer always seems to have something new happen and it gives games a lot more replay value in my opinion.

Single-player. For me, a game has to have a good single-player campaign with a good story to motivate me to play the multiplayer.
