music sharing thing not working..

ok i have my 360 connected to media player it picks up all the music there but i cant play it when i try to play it i doesnt play and it has a red circled and a line thru it. It says that its not supported can anyone help me play my music its really annoying >_>

Download the zune player from zune.net, its alot easier to stream with that than it is then any wmp version...

you havent opened the ports needed. if you have a firewall on your pc you have to open certain ports before your 360 would be able to play your music. click on the link below to know which ports you need to open

sorry gave you the wrong link this is the corect one. it says it for media connect but if youve got windows media player 11 installed on your pc then your fine.

wat firewall have you got installed on your pc (e.g Mcafee, Windows etc)

ok on your desktop by the clock double click on the M (mcafee logo)

on the screen that pops up look to the right side you should see an image of a world called internet and network click on that

on the screen that pops up click configure

another screen would pop up click on the firewall protection enabled and click advanced

click on the option system services and a screen should pop up to the right side

click on the add button and a new screen would pop up allowing you to enter the ports information. enter the ports from the link i gave you enter the 2 tcp number in the space for inbound and also out bound tcp ports. and do the same for the UDP. click ok when finished and you should be able to play your music now
