the perks sound kinda silly to me but I'm buying it anyway for the multiplayer experience. all the hype makes me want to try it out.

Seems when a game gets popular it gains a lot of haters. Seriously Cod4 was an amazing game and I have no doubt that MW2 will top that easily. You may be tired of the hype, but that doesn't make the hype the game is getting undeserving. MW2 deserves all the hype it's getting and will be one of the best games this generation.

Opinions, opinions. However I'm really excited for the game, looks thrice as better than COD4. Don't know why people were obsessed with the 4th game, it's multiplayer is very overrated, great game nonetheless.

I'm honestly not that excited, I'm getting the game because all of my friends are and I'm kind of obliged too. I'm more excited for Assassin's Creed 2.

no, i am pretty tired of it too. i have not and never will jump on the bandwagon that is call of duty. the shooter i'm looking forward to is Left 4 Dead 2. BRING ON THE ZOMBIES

I LOVE CoD4. One of the best games of all time in my opinion. But the hype annoys me so much...

no im getting tired of seeing these same types of threads over and over and over. seriously, how can you ask if you're the only one when theres a thread like "whats so good about MW2" or "MW2 looks to be just another generic shooter" every five seconds. yes, the rabbid cod fanboys can be annoying, even though i love the series, but the cod haters are even more annoying. we get it, you dont like the game. you dont have to make a thread every five minutes about how you think its just another generic shooter.

The multiplayer seemed to be extremely biased. If you didnt get it first day, you were left behind gear-wise. I would constantly be matched with people at a rank much higher than me who were always better equipped.

Don't get me started on playing for days to get a single gun that had a tiny chance of you actually wanting it.

considering the most overpowered gun in the game (m16) is unlocked from the start, i really dont get your comment. in reality, the guns you unlock later in the game really arent better than the ones unlocked from the start. each gun has its strengths and weaknesses, well except for the m16 lol.

well im sick of games like this getting a short and sometimes bad SP campain because developers focus too much on multiplayer

Personally the hype is well put in MW2, we all have been waiting on a decent modern army FPS.

I love the hype. I really don't see why people are bashing this game so much. Its one of the few games that will actually live up to the hype. Another thing you gotta understand is, its a sequel to a game that most of us all loved. A game that most of us are still playing. Look on the bright side, at least its a game thats worth getting soo much hype.

I hate when people don't buy games just because people hype them. Other people wanting it doesn't make the game any less amazing. All of the Call of Duty games developed by infinity ward have been great; just because everyone is excited for it doesn't mean this one is going to be the exception. The only thing you're getting out of your elitism is the loss of a great game to play.
