MW2: Anyone actually csre about the story?

Seriously, every thread is about multiplayer. I really enjoyed COD4's story and I think this one will be even better. Especially now that its drawing all this fire because you have to shoot civilians in one level for reasons I won't go into so as not to spoil any further than I may have already. But still, the E3 demo looked awesome and the more I hear about the story the cooler it sounds. I hope they do avatar rewards with this game since they just started supporting these.

The singleplayer story mode is the whole reason I want the game.

Yea I do COD4 single player was impressive and very compelling and I hope this one will be too :D

Yeah,I like the story also, I sometimes replay some of my favorite chapters.

The SP is its main selling point for me. Ever since I saw Washington DC torn asunder in that trailer, I've been really intrigued.

And the leaked footage promises a lot of good story material to sink your teeth into.

I'm excited about everything for this game. I'm also really looking forward to spec ops, should be awesome.

COD4's story made no sense and by the looks of it neither will this one.

yes i do , mp is just a side thing for me, though they probably focused most their efforts on fleshing out the mp as opposed to sp which is kinda dissapointing

like the first modern warfare, I'm not playing the SP until much later, going to get a feel of the new maps on MP first and spec ops, but the story is going to be fun. That I have no doubt about it.

I do, i liked Modern Warfare's story and so far MW2 looks pretty awesome.

the name of this thread should be changed to MW2: anyone actually care about this game? overly hyped piece of s*** and cant see why people are going crazy over it its call of duty. so they changed the time period, now everyone thinks its the best game ever. its a rip off, bringing out a COD game every year and you people eat it up and you lot say capcom, square enix, bungie etc are money grabbers, infinity ward and activision are the defination of money grabbers. stop with the posts about this game, your gonna be paying over the odds for a game that wont change muchwrekk8

No. Activision are the definition of money-grabbers. Infinity Ward puts in two years for each game, which has become an industry standard.

I agree with you. I really enjoyed the campaign of COD4 even on Veteran when certain levels made me curse in anger. At first, I was really just excited about the multiplayer aspect of MW2 but after seeing clips of the campaign, it has made me really want to play that as well.

Most definatly, I usually don't like realistic shooter games and especially their stories, but MW1 was absolutely amazing and I have a feeling its going to be that much better this time around.

i hope the story is decent like cod4 becuse i do like going through the single player portion before i go all out into MP...but shooting civillians? wtf

The story in MW was good. I enjoyed it and I hope MW2 story is better... I am sad I'm not stepping in Soaps feet again. He better not die :(

I am equally excited about the story as I am for the multiplayer and spec ops mode. can't wait. the only problem is I will be out to sea on the release date.:cry:

The campaign is ok, extremely short... maybe 4-5 hrs. Special ops ROCKS... no system link for some reason. Cant wait for release date to play multi... gonna nuke your face!

I"m buying, but that's because I'll end up online a little bit, and I like building a collection.

I mostly care about whether or not Captain Price survived... :cry:

It's the only reason I'm going to play MW2.

I prefer mygames to have a learning curve, which the multiplayer will not have just as it's predecessors.

I'm excited about every aspect of the game. This is my first time being hyped about a game.

I saw someone streaming the level where you are the terrorist in the airport and that just about made me piss my pants with anticipation.

I play FPS' for multiplayer and co-op not for their story I' d rather pick up an RPG for that.

i think the story for MW2 is gonna be mad sickk 8)8)

I am looking forward to the story more than the multiplayer, as we know what to expect from the mulitiplayer.
