What are the best maps to camp on using a light machine gun in Modern Warfare 2?

Any of them... An LMG is a gun, it shoots bullets... Just like any other gun in the game, it depends on your individual skill.
i suppose if you want to be annoying you can go to Skidrow, go prone at either end of the hallway and basically just hold down the trigger as you get kills.
pPretty dumb strategy though. Frankly, what the above poster said. LMG are fairly versatile guns. I guess there are sniper maps of sorts, and shotgun maps of sorts... but really there isn't an AR map or a LMG map. It more depends on WHERE in the specific map your using the gun.
lol I love how he took "camping" backBlack_Knight_00This^^ I actually lold. But seriously don't camp.Just get kills on your own without sitting in a corner. And there isnt a best map for any type of gun.Its just where you are in the map that matters.

I don't like you, and there are no "best maps for camping", you can camp in any map with any weapon.
Lol. Okay, thanks for the advice. I honestly dont play MW2 much, but I thought I'd play it more since all of my friends do. I just thought it would be easier to just stay in one place and use a light machine gun cuz Im no good at MW2. But, yeah I didn't realize it was that cheap to do.
there's a difference between camping and corner camping. corner campers are people with zero skill that just hang out in a corner waiting for someone to walk by. then there are campers that pretty much hold down one area, a building or section of the map and never leave that section for the entire match. as a team or a group of the team they all just watch each direction and camp that area the entire time. that is also very lame. but there is nothing wrong with creeping around from spot to spot and camping for short periods of time while getting kills. the one thing i like about MW2 is the kill cam. whenever i get killed by a camper, if it's possible i immediately go back and semtex them and blow their ass up. i for one don't like to camp because i always get knifed in the back or shot in the back. i prefer to run around with a sub machine gun or assaunt rifle. obviously if that's not working for you i can understand why you want to camp. but if you're using a light machine gun i suggest not camping, but slowly moving from spot to spot and posting up for about 30 seconds or so depending on how many kills you get. as you play the game more you get a better understanding of the respawn points and people tendencies so it's easier to predict where the enemy will be. good luck!HipnotiKalPeople do camp a lot, but this guy has a point. If Players are protecting a bomb, u need to camp to protect it. Also, technically, sniping is camping and no one hates on them. All in all, if you have to use, "that guy is camping!" as an excuse all the time, u need to get better
[QUOTE="Black_Knight_00"]lol I love how he took "camping" backxxxCr00k3dxxxThis^^ I actually lold. But seriously don't camp.Just get kills on your own without sitting in a corner. And there isnt a best map for any type of gun.Its just where you are in the map that matters. This is incorrect and also, gametype matters. Karachi and Favela for example, are maps best suitable for SMGs. They're small map and majority of the battles take place within close-quarters. An LMG wouldn't benefit you on these maps. Sure you would get kills (it's CoD, it's impossible to NOT get kills in this noobfest) but you would lose more battles than you would win. On the other hand, on larger maps like Derail or Wasteland wouldn't be very useful for SMGs and would be better suited for an LMG. I don't see where there's still this misconception that it doesn't matter what map you play. There's a reason why some people go 30-5 one game, and go 5-30 the next. It's not because they finally had a good game or they got lucky, it's because maybe on Wasteland they were sniping, but the next map was Favela, a map where sniping is basically useless against people who know what they're doing.
Killcams are the worst part about MW2, one of the very reasons I play hardcore search and destroy. Plus I love one death only instead of continuously respawning.Ghost_702Killcams are only a problem if you're sniping or camping.

Camping is for lames..... Camping is a reliable tactic. No, I don't camp. I will never camp, but I understand there's nothing wrong with it. It's not a broken tactic that abuses exploits so there's no reason to say it's for lames. Obviously you have a dislike for it which is most likely due to you not being able to counter it. (Nobody dislikes something they know how to stop)[QUOTE="Etware"]

(Nobody dislikes something they know how to stop) to an extent it is a real tactic. if you are sitting in a corner for the whole round, you are wasting your time. also depends on the gametype, if you are camping on free for all, you are lame. if you are camping on s&d, that is fine, because you have an objective, and waiting it out for people to run by or try to plant the bomb is better than running and gunning.[QUOTE="Etware"]

I think camping doesn't work in the long-term. Sure, you'll get one or two cheap kills, but pretty soon people will realise what you're doing and you'll soon find yourself doing badly.
I've tried camping and I found it boring. It's much more fun to sneak about and pop a few goons running around with a knife. I think a better strategy is to "patrol" a certain portion of the map, not one single room, but say, a whole building or one half of the map - you're more likely to run into people you can kill, and as you keep moving they're less likely to kill you.
funny how that is what this game whittles down to. "lets lay down the whole map and have zero fun". :|
If you have the new map pack. I use the RPD on Salvage alot. Does some serious damage from the house or a platform. But if you dont, probably one of the best levels for the distance and fire power without getting to the range of a sniper would have to me Rundown.
