MW2 is even worse than MW. Shocking.

I finished MW2 last night. It got better near the end. The start was still terrible, though. I also think they went overboard with the blood effect that fils the screen when you get shot. Half the time I couldn't even tell what was going on. I also got bored of constantly having to "Follow" an NPC who liked to move at his own pace, which was too slow.

In all, the SP game just feels like a big cut-scene. You feel like you aren't important. You feel like you could just hang back and do nothing and still progress through the game. I also hate the way the enemies keep respawning. Maybe IW makes them respawn so the fights last longer. I suppose when you make a game as short as MW2, you have to do things like this to make it last longer.

I tried multi-player. It's probably worse than MW, and I really didn't enjoy MW's MP. Also, why was I put into games with people who were ranked much higher than me? That was seriously unfair because they had much better gear than me. Is IW not capable of creating a matchmaking system that puts you with people who're the same level?

I'm taking MW2 back to the store today. I'm going to trade it for Assassins Creed 2.

Why do you hate MW2?

This works because war isn't easy, and isn't meant to be. They have to show a way for damage. Instead of having a health bar, they game tries (and succeeds) at making things more difficult. Makes you work harder and plan more before running and gunning into every situation.

I also got bored of constantly having to "Follow" an NPC who liked to move at his own pace, which was too slow.
Really? Because most of the time, you are not an officer. You are supposed to follow and take orders. That is your job.

In all, the SP game just feels like a big cut-scene. You feel like you aren't important. You feel like you could just hang back and do nothing and still progress through the game.
One big cutscene? That is exactly what IW wanted you to feel. Like you are a participant in a movie. Hang back, and you lose. Besides, they wanted you to be a part of the story...not the story. You are again, just one small part of a much greater conflict.

I also hate the way the enemies keep respawning. Maybe IW makes them respawn so the fights last longer.
If you defeat them all, they do stop coming. Also, during the middle missions, they want you to feel the overwhelming odds.

I tried multi-player. It's probably worse than MW, and I really didn't enjoy MW's MP.
There is a surprise.

Also, why was I put into games with people who were ranked much higher than me? That was seriously unfair because they had much better gear than me.
Oh, wait. I think I just discovered the reason why you don't like the multiplayer game modes. You cannot adapt to a more successful playing ****to become better. Besides, when you start out at level one...like everyone else, you will be ranked with highier levels.

Is IW not capable of creating a matchmaking system that puts you with people who're the same level?
It is still on par with just about every other game I have played. If not a tad bit better.

I'm taking MW2 back to the store today. I'm going to trade it for Assassins Creed 2.
Thank you! One less person to hear complain on my head set. Thank you for doing the rest of us a favor.

If you hate COD4-1, why do you pick up COD4-2 and expect to like it? I see no purpose in this rant.

Typical COD fanboy. Refuses to accept the game has faults and tries to tell other people their opinion is wrong. Also, don't assume anything about me with comments about me not being able to adapt and get better. You don't know anything about me. I'm sorry I don't love the game as much as you do. Just try to accept MW2 isn't the best game ever made and not everyone will like it. All my points are valid. Surprise, surprise, you defend it to the death as if you actually helped to make it.

And FYI, I never use the headset in any online games. That way I don't have to talk to people like you.

I think your two valid points are the blood effects and story problems. The blood effect is really irritating and the story has a few minor problems. I can't get enough of the multiplayer even when it sucks. It finds a way to be hectic even though the maps are huge.

The purpose was to voice my opinion. Simple as that. I like COD4's SP. The problem with the SP in COD games is they have very little replay value. If MW2's SP was better, I would've kept it regardless of how much I don't like the MP.

It is possible to improve on MP in a sequel. Many games have done it. MW's MP has got worse IMO.

I can understand hating a games feature, I know a lot of people found it hard to get around the fact that it's a massive amount of blood on the screen, but apart from that I can't agree with you. The blood faction of the game isn't that bad, it's not even blinding, but to each their own opinion. Now on to the following. Call of Duty is infamous for being confusing at times and leaving the player lost, they fixed this by being able to follow your officer NPC. Now this makes sense on two different spectrum, first of all, you almost always play as a Private in Call of Duty games and I never understood why your Senior Officer always made me do everything... Everything... This made the whole chain of command more realistic. In no shape or form were you entitled to having to follow them, you could either move up or hang back. I loved the AI in this new one, it actually felt as if your friendly AI could actually kill something, sure they still left that one guy behind who unloaded on your face but still, much work was done on the AI.

The story in itself felt great, action, everywhere. Its what I came to expect in Call of Duty and this game didn't disappoint. The game never let down, if anything the action became more and more climatic until it ended. I know a lot of people felt as if the story telling could have used some work, hell I do too, but it still came off as amazing.

Now on to multiplayer, if you played the first you'll know that Call of Duty does not stack you up against people of your own rank. It does try to split the two teams evenly by skill rank but in no way puts you in the same room with all rank ones. I don't know why you expected this in the first place. Second, and as in every multiplayer game, it takes time to get good. It takes time, fail and retry, and the learning of the maps until you know what your doing and finally can start getting some positive K/D. If you expected to find yourself a good Call of Duty 6 player then you need to put the time in, I'm rank 51 and I've yet to get a positive K/D ratio (.95%) and my accuracy goes up after every match (19.23%). I knew it would take time, and I haven't blamed the game on my inability to adapt quickly to the game. I seriously think you need to give the game more time.

Edit: Oh, and Modern Warfare 2 does not have a single infinitely spawning enemy. So... I don't know what you're talking about.

You have no right to tell me what I should make into a blog. This board is for discussing Xbox 360 and the games on that console. MW2 is a 360 game so I have every right to talk about it here. The topic title clearly states that it would be talking about MW2 negatively. If people can't handle that, they shouldn't enter the topic. There's enough topics talking about how great MW2 is. This topic was intended to be a place where people could come to talk about how much they don't like it. That's why I asked 'Why do you hate MW2'?

I wasn't trying to tell him he's wrong. I didn't go through all his answers and point out why he's wrong, like he did with mine. I said try to accept MW2 isn't the best game ever made, but that wasn't me telling him he's wrong. He never said it was the best game ever made. I don't think anyone thinks it is the best game ever. If they do that's cool. It's their opinion and they're entitled to it.

AND there's no NEED to SHOUT certain WORDS to get your POINT across. I'm not an idiot. I can understand what you're saying without certain words being in caps.

I don't like COD online so I have no desire to play it for hundreds of hours like these so called "good" players. Yes, I do expect to be put with people who're the same rank as me. That way it would be fair. I know you love COD but you can't defend that. I know it happens to everyone but that doesn't make it ok.

The game I played that matched me with much higher ranks was free for all games. So your point about the ranks being evened out doesn't make sense. Surprise, surprise, the highest rank kept winning. I also found it annoying when I kept getting killed by someone who had a heartbeat sensor on their rifle. That gives someone a massive advantage over players who have only just started. Again, that takes me back to my point that people of the same rank should be matched together. How many people are online in MW2 at the same time? Half a million? A million? How hard must it be to fill a room with people of the same rank?

Anyway, you're getting off topic here. Like many others you seem to have forgotten that this topic is for people who don't like MW2.

First of all, who are you to tell me where to post and where not to post. You made a post about Modern Warfare, I disagree, let's argue about it. You, being a person who so feels the right to be able to express either opinion and feel the right to being able to post anything they want seem to forget that everybody else also has that right.

Let's get this out of the way right away, I'm in no way married to Modern Warfare 2, there's no need for you to constantlytell me that I'm in some sort of affair with the game.

Now on to what you said. If you don't like the Call of Duty set up you should have come to terms with the fact that this game doesn't pit you against people of your rank, but of your skill rank... There's a difference, someone can be Prestige and still suck. Also, I don't know why you expect this game to be easy for you, I don't understand why you think you have some right to be great at if right off the back. As with every other game it takes time to get good at a game, if you don't want to take the time to do so then don't, but don't waste your time coming on forums pissing and moaning that you found the experience so different from any other multiplayer game.

Yes, I understand it sucks being put up against someone who has the better gear, yeah I understand where you're going with this, but this game starts over once you hit 70 (If you so choose to do so), so does that mean that I should also play against someone who is level one?

And on that matter, you go find me a game which has perfect skill rank game lobbies where everybody is at the same ability and the games come so dangerously close because of skill that it all comes down to luck. I wanna know which game this is.

thats not irony at all, your just annoyed that more people dont agree with you In the other topic you were essentially trolling because you went into a MW2 topic about nukes just to complain about the game Now you have made a topic about how you hate MW2 and are shocked that your not getting the responses you wanted, you are trying to control peoples opinions/responses and you are getting frustrated when you cant and you might say there is a double standard about positive and negative responses, and your right there is, its called trolling and its not tolerated by many

thats not irony at all, your just annoyed that more people dont agree with you In the other topic you were essentially trolling because you went into a MW2 topic about nukes just to complain about the game Now you have made a topic about how you hate MW2 and are shocked that your not getting the responses you wanted, you are trying to control peoples opinions/responses and you are getting frustrated when you cant and you might say there is a double standard about positive and negative responses, and your right there is, its called trolling and its not tolerated by many

It is ironic.

I'm not shocked. This response is exatcly what I expected. I find it funny when fanboys get upset when people don't like their favorite game. Ninja Gaiden and Far Cry 2 are two of my favorite games and people always talk about how much they don't like them. I don't care. It really doesn't bother me. Most of you are just far too sensitive.

So are you saying people are trolling here because they've come into a topic talking about how bad MW2 is, just to say how good MW2 is? I posted in that topic because I didn't want to create yet another MW2 thread. There's been enough of those over the last few months.

Fail. How have you made this many posts without realising what trolling is?

I also read the posts you made in the other topic, it seems like you just wanted attention. You posted once on page 3 didnt get many quotes, then posted again on page 6 simply saying how much you hate the game. People may not like certain games but it seems you have gone to extreme lengths just to let everyone know how much you hate MW2. You are trying to get a reaction from people and think it makes you look cool or rebellious or whatever just because you hate a game most people like.

And why are you calling everyone who disagrees with you a CoD fanboy? You want people to listen and accept your opinion when you have not shown the slightest bit of acceptance of others. Now thats ironic

Fail. I admit, I'm not up on geek speak as much as some people, but I'm guessing if you troll you're saying something that might annoy other people? If this topic was intended for people who think MW2 is crap, and people know this but they come in here and tell me I'm wrong, isn't that like trolling because it might annoy me?

Now, just to make it clear, I'm not annoyed. People can say what they want. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy that goes on in these forums. I'm trolling in the nuke thread but people aren't trolling here? Sure.

like i said in my first post, there is a double standard for POSITIVE and NEGATIVE responses. Positive responses to a game in a thread created to be negative is accepted because if someone likes a game they have reasoning and liking a game generally does not annoy anyone. Straight negative responses in a thread that is generally positive is not accepted as the people who make them are generally there just to annoy the people who like the game, ie YOU posting responses in the nuke thread. It is quite obivious as you simple re-iterated yourself in two different posts when you realised the first didnt get a reaction from as many people as you liked

I agree. These are probably the same people who've went into a Far Cry 2, Halo 3, Mirrors Edge, ODST, Crackdown, Mass Effect thread or a thread for any other game just to say how much they don't like it. I'm sure they've all done it at some point. Just make sure you agree with them about COD.

You guys make for some great entertainment on the 360 Forum ... hehe. But anyway, I think it comes solely on the topic to define trolling. A question that can have two sides, like "I like this game." welcomes friendly debate; but a specific question, such as "How many nukes?" narrows the amount and type of posts that can be within.

But in regards to the topic, I understand your criticisms on the game. While I disagree with a few of them, you're more than welcome to share and voice your opinion (this is in response to the first post...). Thanks for sharing, and well, let's all hug and move on.

Is that a fact? That's really interesting. Well, I don't agree with double standards. NEGATIVE responses ARE accepted in THE nuke THREAD because I have REASONS why I don't LIKE MW2. Same as positive posts being ok here because they have reasons why they like it.

If people can't handle someone saying their favorite game is crap they shouldn't come into a topic which is clearly going to say that. Again, this goes back to people being too sensitive or maybe they aren't used to people disagreeing with them.

I already said why I posted in the nuke thread. I made this topic because people kept telling me to stop posting in the nuke thread. Did you read the last page? I didn't make this topic for the reasons you said. I made it because I felt like it had to be said. If you don't agree that's fine. I honestly don't care.

You two need to understand there's a difference between liking a game, being a fanboy for a game and not having the same opinion as you both.

I agree. But based on the majority of responses in this topic, it looks like most of them are fanboys.

You may not have intended it (and my moneys on being called a fanboy here), but in the nuke thread, I'd consider you trolling. They didn't ask if you liked the game or not, they asked the question to those who liked the game already. The TC wanted to know how many nukes people had gotten, from people who actively played the game, not if people thought the game was good or not.

However, I will agree with you on some of your points. The single player although being more action packed than COD4 didn't have as good of a story if you could call it that :P, and the blood effect can be annoying as hell at times. I do like the blood effect, but sometimes it just becomes a pain in the ass. Then theres the MP. At times its seriously crap. Especially when you come up against a team full on Akimbo 1887's users, javelin glitchers or campers with heartbeat sensors. Its nowhere near perfect, I'll give you that and at the beginning it is extremely hard for a newcomer to get into the game if they're up against level 70's or whatever.

Why do you hate MW2?

I hate MW2 singleplayer because it's not nearly as engaging as MP, and there's no carrot on a stick factor to keep me interested. It's no fun playing against NPC's. Real players are much more crafty. I have almost three days' worth of playtime with MW2 MP, and I love it. I think I played about 15 minutes' worth of SP. The multiplayer aspect of the game is much more enjoyable when you have voice privacy set to "friends only".

i do understand i like mw2 a lot, but u dnt see me going absolutely crazy trying to defend and tell others why they need to like it. if u like a game to the point of trying to convince everyone that its an amazing game and how everyone should love it and if u dnt ur a lesser gamer who has a stupid opinion, then u dnt just like it ur a fanboy.
