MW2: Let's Talk About Hacks

Just got done playing two games against a team of clowns who somehow managed to call in a care package every 2 seconds. The first game I just thought it was coincidence, but after the second game it was just obvious. The worst part is that they didn't even try denying it. They were actually proud of the fact that they blatantly cheated to win. They also said that even if I report them, they wouldn't get banned. How? Has anyone else experienced this kind of tom foolery, or something like it. Please divulge.

Its a glitch, been around for about 2 weeks. Somebody is doing it in pretty much every game now.

Infinity Ward has a patch coming out to fix it, but I don't know when that patch will be ready.

I got so sick of the glitches and the cheating I just said f*ck it and quit playing MW2. Don't have to worry about cheating when playing campaign mode on ME2. Still not safe from the red ring of death though lol

Yeah I had a long string of awful games a couple weeks ago so I've quit playing until the patch comes out.

IW are incompetent game developers so the game is full of hackers and glitches. Don't expect this to change for atleast a few months.

According to Game Informer, as of February 6th, the patch is complete, just waiting for Microsoft Certification.

And because I know you guys love proof so much I even went through the trouble of giving you a hyperlink. I can't wait for them to fix this garbage.

I hope IW learned their lesson, don't release a game without a beta! This was especially stupd since they added so many new weapons/killstreaks!

MW2 has almost had Halo 2 beat when it comes to cheating. Still a ways to go though, Halo 2 had it pretty bad (Superjumping, dummy glitch, standbying, bridging, modding, bxr, and so on).

I pretty much just stick to Hardcore Search and Destroy (silenced .50 cal FTW lol) for now. Everything else usually has someone glitching.

Doesn't bother me because I get points everytime I destroy a killstreak but it sucks when the air space is too crowded and I'm try to bring out my Chopper Gunner that I got legit. :(

Glitch not new, been around for ages, but I have noticed more and more people doing it. If it happens in a game that I am in I report the people doing it. I have no idea if it works or not, but it makes me feel better. I can't stand cheaters, and especially those that then think they are "awesome" and they have "skillzzzz", um...no... you have to cheat to get your score!wavey_gravey

other than that, they were just a lot of fun to do in private matches. Then there was the sword/rocket jump, now that could get you places haha

It's so ironic that a game like MW2, a game that everyone hyped over until lauch date, and then hyped some more over how "great the game is" only to find that the developers are to lazy to let the people play a beta. They could have had us play the multiplayer for a while and then get feedback about what they should change, we could have had a multiplayer game without cheaters or cheap players, if IW makes another CoD game they better get the suggestions from the people.
