would it be possible for infinity ward to add a tournament mode onto mm2 for ps3 and xbox 360, it would be a great idea as u can have them weekly or daily and possibly have prizes. It would take mw2 online to a completey new level and make people stay online for longer. There could be many different things infinty ward could do to the tournament if they put one into the game.

i think what he means is the ability to set your own up in matchmaking, plus fun compitition between players that are not good enough for MLG would be good although that application imo but better suit racers than shooters.

No i do mean competitive gaming. Im a good player with 2.23 k/d ratio and 41killstreak, but it'll be a great idea if we could set up our own tournament and clan matches on MW2. I've used gamebattles and stuff before but you just get cheaters all the time and its just time consuming and not fun at all.

Why do you have to hate so bad? MW2 is an excellent competitive game. Most MLG matches disable a lot of stuff during the game anyway. Also, you can't win the game by noob tubing. That's seems to be one of peoples' biggest complaints about the game but it's really not that hard to overcome. To be completely honest I die from grenade launchers probably not even 5% of the time.

k/d means nothing.

I'm not saying anything about you but people need to stop hiding behind that saying. K/D literally does mean nothing to certain gametypes, but at the same time it's not the biggest thing to be worried about. But to say that it means nothing is a little ridiculous. I would put money down on a bet saying a guy with a 2.23 K/D is an all around better player than a guy with a 0.5 K/D.

I'm just saying, you can't judge a player by there k/d. I was high up in the 1's. Till my brother played, and he put me in the .80 .. I might be in the .70 now. People with 2.0 say I suck because of that, yet I still win.

I know, I guess but i'm just saying.so many people judge me on my k/d and it frustrates me >.< and they get all cocky and 1v1 me and lose.. just sayin, if you see a player with a low k/d don't judge him.

I get your point, but when a k/d ratio is high, it usually indicates that they are better than average. In your case, you are not the only one who uses your live account which can make your k/d ratio misleading. But I disagree with the initial statement.

There are thousands of players that are better then the MLG gamers that don't use that site. Also MLG restricts so many things that its boring and shows that most of them have no skill anyways. It would be nice if Infinity Ward made a weekly or monthly tournament for their games, maybe something similar to Metal Gear Online. MGO has 4 tournaments each week for clans/teams to face off against one another and win a special clothing item. Most of them are won by lag switchers since Konami has no real governing system on their server though...............

Well I made the point about lag switchers winning a lot to show that unless Infinity Ward actually governs their tournaments then it would suck. MLG is mainly for bragging rights but with so many Modern Warfare 2 players it would be hard to find a person to brag to that would actually know who you are since a majority of players don't ever go to that site and like I said before the MLG matches are boring and slow paced since they restrict everything that makes MW2 fun for most players.
