i was just about to say the exact same thing :D im sick of seeing these, but i guess people will be people. either way to answer the question, both because i can and i like both franchises equally
BF3 is a definite purchase, MW3 ill get of someone for my brithday as i dont want to pay for something that will probably be a reskinned clone of every other cod before it.
To be honest, this is quite a tough question for me to answer. I am looking forward to both games and Battlefield 3 looks STUNNING! but I have been a Call of Duty fan since the beginning on the PC and I am a big CoD fan, so that is where my problem lies. I can see Battlefield 3 being more unique and original, but MW3 will be just as fun because, well, CoD is always fun no matter what! the campaigns are always great, and the online is always very addictive. So not only am I a big fan of CoD, but Battlefield's campaigns are sometimes hit and miss for me. I didn't like Battlefield Modern Combat's campaign at all, but I loved the multiplayer. I liked the campaign to Bad Company, but it got a bit boring towards the end, although it was still good and the online was pretty sweet and then came Bad Company 2 which had an amazing campaign (if a bit Modern Warfare-y) and an equally amazing multiplayer... and judging from what I have seen of Battlefield 3, it looks like it will do VERY well both off and online. I think I will just get Battlefield 3 on release (depending on when it comes out exactly though) and get Modern Warfare 3 for Christmas as I always get Call of Duty for Christmas :). Both games will be amazing and I will have a lot of fun with both. Like I said, Battlefield 3 seems like it will be an awesome package all around, and I have never played a bad campaign on CoD or a bad online. Yep, I can't wait for both, if CoD a bit more, if only because I am a big fan of it :). I think I will definately get B3 on release and MW3 for Christmas. Yep :D
As someone who has played Call of Duty since Call of Duty 2, along with Battlefield since Modern Combat, I would have to say that I would take Battlefield 3 in a heartbeat. I am a fan of both of the franchises, and while Call of Duty can be fun at times, they have begun to feel more and more like the same game with a few new additions to it and labeled as a new game. From what I have seen from both games so far, BF3 looks far more impressive, and Battlefield's gameplay suits me far more than the arcadey one-man-army gameplay style of Call of Duty - But I will probably get both..... eventually.. lol.
Well I think that both games will be very good. Everyone is making snap judgements on BF3 because of the amazing single player visuals that we have all seen. All we have to go on for MW3 is a short 2 minute trailer. While it looks as if the visuals in MW3 wont be on the same level as BF3, I tend to always have more fun playing CoD games. But then, maybe that is just the style of game that I prefer. I predict both games will be great fun in their own ways and I wouldnt be surprised to see both score 9.0 or higher here at GS.
Battlefield 3 will be a day-one purchase. I will probably get MW3 maybe a month after its release. I'm honestly just not hyped for MW3, but am looking forward to B3 in a major way.
Seems alot of people feel the same way i do, ever since cod 5 i've slowly been straying away from cod but black ops made lose all faith in later cods (even though it isn't treyarch making mw3, the developers can just make the game seeem so new and amazing by showing off aa few new features and painting a picture that the game is incredible. Though i am not completely sure battlefield 3 willl be the best game ever even though i do have faith in it
