so the past couple of days my 360 has been crashing.. for example, when im playing halo it just all of a sudden turns off and goes to the 3 red lights and my controller just vibrates.. but usually i just restart it and its fine.. but today it kept doing it over and over and over again.. so i decided i'll just return it cause i have a warranty.. i am packing it up and when i go to take out my nyko intercooler, for some reason its like stuck.. so i pulled and pulled and i got no where.. finally after using a plyers i get it out, only to realize that it was melted into the system and i pulled out part of the back of the system with it.. it was melted in, i couldnt believe it.. it was really strange..well thats it.. thought it was strange and i'd tell everyone what happened to see what people think.. im gonna go return it now cause they said its alright.notetoself1
I believe you just voided your warranty by using a junk 3rd party cooler, nice work.PittsburgJets93

my bro already took it back to the store.. so i cant post a pic sry..and i have no reason to come on here and lie about my 360 braking so yeah
should have gotten the EX Model. It has a metal Housing that is better than the Plastic one of the original
never ever ever ever use an intercooler it just makes the problem its supposed to fix worse-DirtySanchez-
only if your using the first generations with plastic power housing and you cram the system in a entertainment center where there's no air flow. I've had IC's on my 3 360's for 2 years and no problems.

well your one of the very few lucky ones, hopefully that luck continues for youSo, the Nyko isn't one to use. I am looking at picking up a 360 Elite sometime next week and I was wondering if there was better cooler out there that doesn't blow up your 360. I was thinking of using one of my laptop coolers that can hook into my usb hub next to my pc. I have seen a few out there, but doing research before hand may save headaches later.
WHAT??? i have had an intercooler since christmas 06...i don't see any reason it would be bad for it...but i ended up taking it off and just getting a sweet 4 dollar fan to put behind it. IT ACTUALLY MELTED...i don't see how it could get hot enough???
