after many days of it randomly freezing i finally am getting the constant three red lights, and microsoft is sending me a box to ship it in (how nice of them). Now my question is, how many of you have had a similar problem and, how long did it take to get back, was it working when you got it back? thanksrazorsedge678

Nobody ever says the 360's are not reliable! That 3 year warranty was just a gift out of nowhere for no reason at all.
It took about 5 days to get the box from them. I shipped it back to them immediately. They recieved it in about 3 days. That was about 2 weeks ago and they have not emailed me yet saying ithas beenfixed. I have read on some forums that it is taking anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks for them to fix it once they receive it.blakemurrayIt took about 3 days for me to get the box and then exactly 10 days (like they said) for it to come back. The biggest problem was the stupid ups guy who kept leaving notes on my door without actually ring the bell. I eventually just went down to the call center and picked it up myself.

Yeah I know. Plus I bought the BB replacement plan before the extended warranty release so if it should happen, I should be able to get another console pretty quickly. But I've been having some problems playing movies and games will freeze after a while. Plus I've done everythign that you are supposed to do about a good way to set up the console. So we'll see.

My advice is if it's coming up to the time where you should have been notified is to place a call to the help center. In a civil and courteous tone make an inquiry into the progress of the fix. they will likely tell you to wait another day or two and if you haven't heard anything to phone back. When you do phone back they'll fast track a replacement for you and you'll have it 24-48 hours later.
When mine went down that's all i did and it tends to work with any customer service in any industry. By nice and they will be nice back. I've had nothing but good experiences with MS support over the years. The people i know that have had bad experiences tend to be the ones who get angry and start to get frustrated. There is a time and place for that anger but it isn't until several calls later and then it's best to contain anger and simply ask to talk to a supervisor. That tends to get good results.
Not saying there aren't legitimate bad customer services experiences as there most certianly are but by and large keeping things civil gets results.
