Forza 2 is almost unplayable.

I can play for maybe 10 mins and it will freeze.

This has happend many times.

I can't play Command and Conquer 3 without the sound going out and then eventually freezing up. This is only on Live though, so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

Sometimes it won't even read the disk at all.

I tried to play Doom 3 after downloading the new BC update and it wont even load the game without giving me some error code and saying the disk is unreadable.

So, is the thing slowly dying on me ? What do you guys think.

I think you need to stop tilting your machine because it's probably scratching the discs.

Same thing happened to me. However, i took a chance and opened the 360 only to discover loads of dust. So i bought some canned air and got rid of it all. It made a huge mess but it was well worth it. I put it all back together and the freezing was fixed. It worked like new.

I don't tilt my machine. I don't move the console while its on.

Every 360 disk I own is flawless.

thats it right there, my 360 closed on my vegas game when It wasn't in and unalligned the whole thing. I had to get a new 360 and a new RSV. once that happens almost every game doesn't play right even If they are brand new.

Ticking is probably your DVD drive. On one of my old computers i used to get clicking noises from my drive. I doubt it's the HDD as they're made different than standard desktop hdds. I'd watch for scratches on your disks.

I think you should try to get some dust out since that ticking has happened to my pc before and try to do it without opening the xbox. Also try plugging it directly to the wall because sometime the surge proctector causes problems. I say try that and see what happens.

Well I did try the dusting thing (with a can of compressed air) and that didnt really seem to help too much at all.

And I do have it plugged into the wall.

I'm going to try out Gears of War and see if I run into any problems.

If I do I'm taking it in.

The weird thing is that it plays Gears of War perfectly fine without a hiccup.

Afternoon all,I was just having a look through these forums and i'm a little worried now.I have had my 360 for almost a year now and when i play games such as Elders scrolls 4 and Hitman: Blood money my system freezes up every now and then. I just figured that this was just a downside to the system and thought nothing of it.After reading a few of the posts on here i am now starting to wonder whether i should be worried about this..Should i be worried about these issues i am experiencing? and if so, what should i do to go about having this taken care of?Thanking you in advance.
