That's what all the nay sayers said when they were assuming people were abusing their 360's. I've had about 3 go out on me and now I'm finally on one that seems to be going really good so far. It's kinda hard to break a console unless you're dropping it and some how covering the vents. I use to get tired of the ones who hadn't experienced any problems blame it on me for not taking care of it...it's just not the case.Im sad now, i didnt think that it would ever give out on me either.

[QUOTE="jrabbit99"]wow, that is really bad. Is it still under warranty? cujodog09
Idk ive had it for so long i dont think it is anymore. How do i check?
Register it at Xbox.com or call. My baby is still alive after two years but I think there might be something wrong with it but it hasn't broken yet so whatever.I've started playing all my multiplats on the PS3.masterpinky2000After my second RROD I decided to do the same thing. The only exception will probably be when I get "Bayonetta". I'm definitely getting the 360 version since it seems to be far superior to the PS3 one.

well first we need to know whats wrong with it? if its older then a year only rrod and E74 is covered for 3 years. check the manufacturing date on your 360 to see how old it is. thats what ms goes by unless you still have the sales ticket. i bought a 360 20 gig in late november of 08. but my mfd was feb of 08. and my 360 died 3 months ago. and i lost my sales ticket so i woulda have had to pay 99 bucks to get it fixed if my 360 didnt get the E74 error. because i had no proof i bought it in november of 08 the only thing they could go by was the manufacturing date on my system which was 02/2/08. also if you do have to pay you save 20 bucks or more if you make the repair claim online instead of calling them.[QUOTE="masterpinky2000"]I've started playing all my multiplats on the PS3.williamsjjAfter my second RROD I decided to do the same thing. Its so brutal how these consoles are so damn defective! We see console after console on a daily basis with RROD, E74/73 ect, The fact is leaded BGAs have been around for years and never had these issues or needed extreme services such as reballing, Months before 360 was to be released lead solder was banned for use in products that are manufactured around the world. They now must use lead free solder which is very brittle, Combine that with the heating and cooling cycles of normal use and fractures occur on the connections of the GPU/CPU. Even when they get them back they are forced to use lead free solder.
We want lead back! :)
We have reballed consoles in house that have been working for months and months so this seems to be the fix to stop RROD from coming back
