Well it had a great run. I've had it since lauch and just yesterday it died on me :( It gave me the 3 light error. I used the 360 Error Code Guide and found out that it's an unknown error. I tried the suggested fixes but no good. I guess this just gives me more of an excuse to get the Elite. So if everything goes as planned (financially) then I should be back gaming 2 weeks from now which is a few days before the Halo 3 Beta. The timing for all this is kinda ironic I think. Anyway, The guide I used was very helpful and may even help someone fix their 360. Check it out. Hopefully it can help someone else :)

I think i have good news for you.I belieeve Microsoft prolongued the warranty of the launch Xbox 360 so you should be able

to just send back yours and have it repaiored for free.

Call 1800-4 my Xbox.

By the way i cannot believe that you just said "it had a great run".
Xbox launcched  1 year and a half ago and it already broke on you.You paid $400 for it.

Are you happy on having to buy another one?

Incredible.

Hope this helped you and DO NOT BUY an Elite wait till they change the chip and the DVD drive that is my advise for now just get your fixed

h3ll no I'm not happy about buying another one. I was just trying to be positive. Microsoft prolonged the warranty to 1 year but are you saying lauch consoles have a different warranty? Well it hasn't been confirmed or denied about the 65nm chip so It could be in the Elite. Unlikely I know, but what is this about a new dvd drive??

no launch systems do not have a different warranty, though because you have a launch 360, i'm sure you can bug them to get you a discount on the repair, that's what i would do. good luck with your repaired/next 360. =)
