its cause you have the 350, which is the old version. upgrade to the 360 and it wont happen as often.
If it has only started playing up in the last couple of days, well since the outage on Monday/Tuesday I'd put it down to problems with Live. I've seen a lot of people on my friends list repeatedly signing in while playing Halo and COD, so it could be a fairly widespread problem.
If it was freezing up last week or earlier then your 360 could be on its way out with some kind of failure.
Yeah. my 360 is only freezing when it signs into Xbox Live on only one of my accounts. Really annoying, especially since it's my main account (other account I made so my friend wouldn't get matched up with really high levels in Halo since he was just starting)
It happened when I tried to download Mega Man 9, and then it froze. At first I thought I was going to get red-ringed, but nothing happened. Took the hard drive out, and it didn't freeze. Put the harddrive back in, it froze when it signed in to Xbox Live. Then I took the network cable out, and it worked fine....and then I put it back in, signed into Xbox Live, and then it froze shortly after.

Just letting you guys know that I'm getting this too. I've unplugged my ethernet cable as it only seems to happen when signed into Xbox Live. Once or twice it happened on the dashboard too.
Also I'm reading that deleting demos that may have been downloaded recently has fixed a few peoples issues, especially the PES2009 demo that just came out.
Ok I fixed it by stopping my download of Mega Man 9 and then deleting a corrupt game file from the Games section of my HDD. If youre getting this issue I would recommend you stop downloading all your games, delete the corrupt files, then restart the download...
