Has this happened to anyone...during gameplay my system will shutdown, and restart again. I returned the console itself, but it still happens which leads me to think it could be the chords or maybe my hardrive. I don't know where to start searching for the problem and it's EXTREMELY frustrating now...any help?????

Hey - my Halo 360 was doing the same thing, except it never turned itself back on. This happened over and over in the middle of gaming. I plugged it into a different outlet and haven't had the problem since.

I think the power brick is extremely sensitive to minute changes in voltage, which can occur when AC units are on the same circuit.

good luck:)

It sounds like you have a heat problem. Don't keep your 360 in a cabinet where the heat is trapped in it. It needs to be out in the open with all its ventilation holes open. If it still does it, take the HDand Memory card off and try it then. If you still have problems, I think you have a short in the 360 itself. ONe more thing to try is maybe try a different game, it could be the disk.

This is almost certainly a power problem, you are not geting any red lights, but your 360 is turning itself off as a safety precaution. I agree w/ leftright5, try a different outlet, you are not using a surge protector are you? They are not recommended by ms, the 360 power brick has its own function that is the same as a surge protector. Also limit the amount of devices plugged into the same outlet as your 360.

I would suggest making sure your xbox is laying horizontal and not standing vertical, also buying new cords, or maybe even calling xbox support
