My Best Buy had a 120gb HDD in stock! Picture and Impressions inside!

Ok so I went into my local Best Buy today to buy a 4gb Memory Stick duo for my PSP and Motorstom for my PS3 when I decided just for fun to look to see if they had the new HDDs in stock and they had one! I was amazed! So I quickly bough it and got out before they noticed it was out early.

So far my impressions of the HDD..

1. Incase you are wondering how much space you actually get you get 106gb and that is after I formated it.

2. Transfer time for me with 8gb on my 20gb is over an hour.

3. Nice solid build of the HDD and transfer cable. Easy to setup too.

How do you transfer your infromation from one HDD to another?

To answer both of your questions.

1. You leave the 20gb HDD in your system and plug the transfer cable IN THE BACK of your systems USB port. It has to be the back! Then plug the HDD into the other end and insert the disk. Then transfer.

2. Yes it comes with a transfer cable.

Wow talk about luck huh? Well I have about 120 dollars left worth of lunch money left (and 6 weeks left of school x 10 = one looong arse summer) till I can get my harddrive. Now you (and soon us XBL users) will finnaly be able to use our 360's to its full potential

Microsoft announced that the accessories would be on shelves before the Elite. It was even announced on the Major Nelson podcast. It's not like stores are selling it earlier than they are supposed to. This was the game plan all along.

I still don't know if I'm just gonna buy the hard drive or buy the Elite. Having two 360's would be nice. 

I got my Elite last night over at Kmart. Funny, was just going to buy an Intec Glow Stand for my other 360 but noticed the few they had in their glass case. I inquired and they sold one to me. For anyone trying to decide between the two, if you can trade in your other 360 to Gamestop or something and buy an elite I would highly recommend it.

With all of the cabling and such that you get it's well worth the extra 79 compared to the Premium. For those of you who wanna own two and do system link it's even better. Having a blast with two 360s in the house. One thing to note about the HDMI video connection is that I notice a much brighter screen on my HDTV with that connection compared to the Component cables. I dunno if that also means more vibrant color but in games like Battlefield 2:MC that don't have a brightness slider (At least that I could find) it allows me to actually see in some of the darker areas of the game.
