So he was playing Dead Rising for the 360 and I was just watching.

Then for some idea he decides to make my 360 sit on its side rather than stand up. Then when he does it the 360 starts making these weird sounds like crunching and stuff. So I jump to turn it off. And then I take out the disk and it is kinda fine. A couple scratches but it is still good.

So I am afraid that my 360 might get the Red Ring of Death. I hear you guys talking about moving the 360 will give it one. So I am really afraid right now.

What are the chances of my 360 getting the RRoD?

And by the way it is a 360 Elite.

I've never heard of that screwing up a 360 itself so it should be fine. Just lay it down on your bro and tell him your Xbox 360 doesn't like to be moved.

Kill your borther. But no you will not get the RROD from just moving your 360. Although you will get a Grand Canyon Size crater in your disc:D

Damn that sucks bro, but im sure you 360 is going to be fine, it shouldnt be damage, all because of a little bit of movement, so tell your brothers like the above poster stated and explain him the rules of the system :),

You don't get it from moving but it will scratch the disk

Don't worry too much just make sure he won't move it if you like your games

Yeah moving any console while the disk is inside and playing will screw up the disk. I broke suikoden 3 on my ps2 by moving it while it was playing it.

You wont get the red ring of death because of that though. Don't worry.

No, moving it while playing while scratch the disc but will not give it RROD. However, those stupid x-clamps, combined with the scorching heat will.

Why were you playing it with it standing up? Don't you know you shouldnt do that? Always keep it on its side so its horizontal.

It actually just depends on your enviroment and conditions. For me it is better standing up so it has better ventilation.

Anyways thanks everyone. :D

the best thing to do for 360's is to hire a bunch of hamsters that live on beans and they'll continuously be blowing air around your 360 by farting... that's what i do

Basically if you move the xbox WHILE IT IS ON you can scratch the disc, move it when it's off and its fine unless you drop it down a staircase or something stupid like that :P
