My Crazy Xbox Live Seavice suggestion

I was just lying around a couple of days ago and wondered why don't Microsoft change the Xbox Live system (yes i kow they are already changing it iam thought of somin diffrent) anyway why don't they change the names of the seavices from Silver and Gold to Basic, Gamer and Pro. Basic would be free with no adverts but no online gaming capbillties but fill use of the marketplace but users would still be able to simple multiplayer eg. Forza 2 car trading and Halo map sharing , it would also allow users send messages etc, ( like silver). Gamer would be like Gold but with Adverts and no lag stopping searvice. Finally Pro would be be the same but you get lag-free gaming and 200 free microsoft points a month and no adverts.

To have less laggier service on one package and not on another they would have to have 2 sets of servers, meaning friends on different packages wouldn't be able to play together.

Also, 200 microsoft points won't buy you anything spectacular, you'd have to save them for 8 months just to get a $18 value (cost of a 1600 point card). That only equates to getting $2.25 a month in microsoft points..

xbox live itself is not what causes lag. lag can be caused by a lot of things, including YOUR connection which has nothing to do with Xbox Live(ie: you downloading videos/pictrues while playing), connection problems of OTHER users(the same thing that you could have lag by), could be just way too many people on a server at one time, or too far distance between users.

Microsoft, nor Sony, nor Nintendo, nor ANY PC game cannot assure you no lag online gameplay. Lag is a part of online life atm.

In regards to your idea, if they created a mid-level free service, most everyone would switch to that. Microsoft would lose money, making it highly unlikely that they would enact this plan of action. And I base this on absolutely nothing.
