Is it true that the elite console have a lower chance of going faulty?Filthy_Angelyeah elites ALMOST never die-(sounds like something from Halo haha) out of everyone I kno who has an elite I have never heard of an elite dying but on second thought mostly all the xboxes that have been released with an HDMI port have a lower fail percentage hopefully this helps
The newer arcades are less likely to die than the old elites... the only elites that are "known" to have the Jasper board are the new Resident Evil edition consoles... and even some people are saying that not all do... but most newer arcades all have the Jasper chipset...
i have my 3rd xbox 360 coming in the mail today. Not an elite though. I have heard that elites have a processor called a falcon processor or something like that, which doesnt burn up as easy.

I wouldn't say so, my friend's elite lasted like two months. You shouldn't worry too much about it, there's no point. You still know it's going to mess up sometime after a couple of months, and if it doesn't then you are one of the lucky ones. Just make sure you get the warranties where they exchange the 360for a new one, unlike best buys and wal marts where they will tell you that they have to ship it to I don't know where and you have to wait weeks(service plans).
It really does suck when you're 360 dies. I'm on my 3rd one, but I also recently purchased an Elite.
I have my Xbox360 since more than 2 years now ! It's the arcade version. It never died on me, ever, and i play a lot. Sometimes i go out and i forget it open..
I think it depends a lot on where you keep ur console too. I keep mine in a very open space and it's far from walls, so there is plenty of air flowing through.
I had mine for about a year, worked great with no problems, and then for a couple days it would freeze randomly with lines on the screen so I played sparingly. Then I finally got the e74 error after like 2 days of that and sent it in under warranty. I got it back like two weeks after and it broke with in hour and a half. Same Error. I'm still waiting lol.
