My gamerscore, good or bad????????

Wats poppin people. This is the thing. I've had my 360 for 3-4 months and my gamerscore is 6,215. And i only have like 13 real games. Is that good or bad? Cuz i see people with scores like 16,000 and stuff and i feel like im the little guy when i play against or with them.

Unless you're an achievement whore you probably won't have a very big gamerscore. Most games just aren't worth doing everything in, unless of course you're going for those achievement points ;)

I've found that just about every game should easily get you at least 350-600 points just by playing through them. I rent a lot of games and out of the last 12 I think there has only been two or three that I failed to get at least 450 on.

With some games it is a lot harder to get achievements though, or takes a lot of time. Such as Eternal Sonata, Forza 2, and Culdcept Saga.

I've gotten high gamerscores in a lot of games without really going out of my way, just to name a few

Call of Duty 2: 1000
Call of Duty 4: 1000 (intel is annoying but unlocks cool things, slow mo)
Halo 3: 1,000
Fight Night: 1,000
Contra: 200 (XBLA)
Rainbow Six Vegas 2: 710 (and it won't let me play ranked)
Dark Sector: 685
Viking: 835
Army of Two: 915
GRAW 2: 1190
Oblivion: 1,250
Mass Effect: 1,000
Golden Axe: 200 (XBLA)
Jericho: 1000

All those scores were pretty much just playing through the game, never really going out of my way to do anything crazy or time consuming.

That is not always true. I had my 360 for almost a year before getting online and I would rent a lot of games. The place by me was really good, It was like $4 for a whole week. So that gave me plenty of time to beat them and if I did not get them beat I could just rent them for another week. I had like 10,000-15,000 Gamerscore before I even got online. I have only gotten 1000 points for Three games, Halo 3[very easy IMO], Oblivion[I played this game for over 200 hours total], and Bully:SE[again very easy]. I sometimes go out of my way to get them, but most of the time I don't.

The one game that I have gone all out to get some of the achievements on is dead rising. That is because a lot of them unlock extra stuff though.

The onli games i get most of the scores for is my sports games. thats onli cuz i love sports. but on games like my assassins creed..........i cant even beat it. Sucks rite?MaddenGod08

Same that'll be great although right now i still need to get a lot of games before that too. Lost odyssey,enchanted arms,and crackdown all next weeek i can't wait. Then i'll no longer be bored of playing my games.

It's not about the number, it's all about the games used to achive the number.

For example. if i see someone with a huge gamerscore, but see their list of games including all of the 2k6 sports titles, then i shrug off about 6k of there score as a lost cause. A lot of those early sports titles gave you 2, or even 400 points just for winning a match or playing a season. Some only had 5 achievements.

But on the other hand, if i see someone with 1k/1k on Call of Duty 2, or Tony Hawks, or Amped 3, or a number of other hard/time consuming games, then my respect goes up.

Personally, i have just broken 16,000 points. And am proud to say the only rediculously easy game was King Kong and Lego Star Wars. But Lego Star Wars is awesome, the points were just a side effect. The rest come from stuff like Cod2, Halo 3, Dead Rising, MUA, etc etc.

It'll be a lot more affordable buying all of the games that i want with the discount. I don't know what they give you as a discount when you work there yet sadly they're all jammed pack with people.

Jeese, dont set your sights too high or anything....

I worked in a games/dvd store a while back and we only got a measly 15%, not even enough to knock off the VAT on games. And a lot of places my freinds have worked for only gave 10%.

There's nothing good or bad about that gamerscore. If you actually were worried about points there's probably 10 games you could rent at once and increase your score by 10000 in about 3 days.

And as someone who set a goal to get 20k gamerscore in a year, it really reduced the amount of fun I had gaming over the last year. I played a ton of sucky games, and played a ton of levels over and over looking for points. I wouldn't suggest playing for points.

I wouldn't worry about your gamerscore. If you play a lot you'll have more, if not you'll have less.

gamerscore usually has nothing to do with skill, unless of course its an individual game and they've managed to get all 1000 points on ridge racer 6, then your small haha

Gamerscore to me has started becoming a job. I dont play games for fun as much as i used to. I play way too many crappy games just for the points. Gamerscore does not mean how good you are. Actually I am not that good at most games, I just have lots of time on my hands. I am a stay at home dad with 3 kids. I do not work winters and run a pressure washing business in the summer. I make enough in the 5 months of summer I dont need to work the rest of the year.

So to answer your question, it is impossible to tell. If given the right games you could get 10,000 gamerscore in one day.

Just because the games started to go down in price so i could afford alot more. Everyone is really fond of saying that Gamerscore is pointless.

Obviously it matters somehow, that is why it exists.
