H'okay. So, somehow, the red and yellow pads on my Rock Band kit have broken in half (well, the red one into 3 pieces now, but that's not important). They still respond okay because it's just the plastic shielding of the button that is broken. However, hitting them feels like wacking at an ant farm with a twig - NO BOUNCING.

I don't have the money for a new kit and my sister lost the receipt to the whole set, so I can't take advantage of the 60-day warranty. What should I do to keep them working? I've thought about buying the silencers, but will those even help? If so, what are the best ones? If not, how do you guys think I could Mickey Mouse my drum kit to keep working?

You really smash on those things huh? I've broken 2 sticks but not the drums. But no ideas for any solutions, sorry.

Wow.. You can try supporting them from behind to restore the structure of the pad cover.. You may be able to buy replacements how ever.

I would try that, but I'm afraid if I take it apart, then it could totally screw up the pad. I'm not even sure how to take them apart o.O.
