Hey gang.

I have my 360 hooked up to my new HP w2007 Monitor, and the thing is great.  If i'm playing games from the PC, its awesome.  I know because I can adjust the video card to get what I like.

However, when I'm running my 360 through it, I have to change my resolutions through the system, and what happens is, the graphics don't look that much better, than through my regular old bummy TV.  Also, alot of my blacks are greys, but if I'm playin a PC game, im more than fine.

Any help would be great...something's telling me though...I'm screwed

May sound like a silly question, but you are using the High Def cables right? Also make sure you are using a resolution that your monitor supports.  It doesn't seem like it can support 1080i or 1080p since it only has 1680 horizontal pixels, so try setting it to 720p.  Also make sure that any settings on the monitor are correct, like if you have to tell it what resolution signal is incoming.  Also, as for the blacks, you can up the contrast ratio a bit, but in general, cheaper LCDs tend not to have great blacks.

Hope that helps, I'm not a tech wiz or anything.

The problem is occuring because of the vga cables. The cables are known to cause washed out colors on lots of tv's and pretty much all monitors. Not much you can do except change your settings to try and compensate. As for clarity, you cannot run at your monitors native resolution (1650x1080) so there will be a slight haznizess to the image. I found that 1280x1024 Widescreen looked best on my 20.1 inch monitor. Give it a try.

Yeah, it looks good at this setting too.  I was just wondering is all.  I figured I was getting a better picture with my PC games becuase of my video card being able to help out.

Hmmm....washed out colours?  Not on my Viewsonic 22" widescreen.  As for the resolution, just be sure to choose the resolution that is 16:10 (1650x1080) ratio.  Shot in the dark because I'm at work, but I'm pretty sure it's 1280×800?  I don't notice the blurring when playing on my screen.
