As if my luck was not bad enough getting a used 360 repackaged as new from EB and having to drive 60km to exchange it, now my Oblivion game is giving me "disk is unreadable" error messages and this weekend I will haev to drive 60km again to the nearest EB to exchange it. I just can't believe this, I have a brand new system and a brand new Oblivion game and it's defective. I think I saw several thin smudge lines on the outside perimiter of the disk going around about 1/4 of the outer surface. Have no idea how they got there since I never touch the playing surface and washing didn't remove it. Must have been a defect. Oh well, at least I have Call of Duty 3 to play until the weekend.

Ah, dude, sucky, I remember reading about your refurbished 360, I actually just bought oblivion three days ago and I love it. It's quite addicting. However, my Oblivion is used and it hasn't crapped out on me... yet. But my point is, maybe you should start wearing some kind of lucky charm like a rabbit's foot or a four leaf clover... (better make it 7 leaf and up for your case), when buying some type of gaming item.

I remember your story about EB and the 360. I wish I had an excuse to stop playing Oblivion like that.

Huh? If you can't read 4 lines then go back to grade primary because you missed where I said that I never touched the surface of the disk.

And yeah, I need to buy some lucky charms or something...can you buy them on xbox live too?

Having read both of your unfortunate posts, I only have one thing to say. Move closer to EB Games.

Things to do in the car will you're driving:

- Download some stand up comedy you like

- Get that new cd you wanted and save it for that day

- Call a friend and tell him to go with you to have someone to talk to on the road.

- Rent or borrow that cool car you always wanted to test drive to make the trip more intresting.

Other than that, good luck dude... I hope you get your problem solved becuase Oblivion is an awesome game.

LOL Yeah I see your point, but EB is so crooked I'd probably fear their employees would steal games out of my house and resell them as new product.

No kidding. I remember my last experience with those crooks. I was buying a game for my son (priced as new) and the clerk pulls out an empty case and goes into a drawer where they presumably keep the "floor models". He puts it in the case and tries to sell it to me for the new price. I almost shoved it down his throat, but instead I politely walked out and went to Best Buy. So that's 2 generations of FragginWagons that won't be shopping there... ever.

My BRAND NEW 360 did the same thing to my oblivion the first night I had it. The good news is you can buff out the smudges. Just use a microfiber cloth and rub it out (push pretty hard), moving from the inside of the disc outwards. Welcome to the 360, you'll get that same problem with a bunch of other games:)
