So, last night I was playing Halo:CE, and I thought with Reach coming out, there has to be a reason why this chosen person is like Master Chief. I then thought since Reach is a prequel, we will learn who Master Chief was before, he was Master Chief, and we will learn why everybody respected this person. I'm thinking that you will play as Master Chief, in Reach, and you will be like a very good soldier, and they might move you up.

This is where Halo:CE comes in. Halo:CE would begin right after Halo Reach. Some People would say this theory is dumb, but it's a good theory.

Your Thoughts

Spartans are drugged so they do not have sexual feelings.

Not even close. Master Chief's story of how he got he rank and respect take place decades before Reach's destruction. He probably wont even be in the game.

He might be mentioned. His efforts on the docking station were pretty important.

But there was no contact between the ground operation or the space operation. Doesn't the chief ask to go down to the ground to help out, but they decide to jump out of the system so they can survive? There is almost no time for the ground team to even learn of what happened on the space op.

Maybe they'll have an epilogue, showing what happens after the battle. There are so many different ways the game could turn out.

Very true. However, I feel that Bungie should bring Halo: Reach's players back to when they first began the spartan project and looked throughout galaxies for children. They should let everyone see how John (Masterchief) got discovered and even let you play as a him when he was a child, bringing more of an emotional glimpse to the chief, enabling players to have a better understanding of who John really is. Let players run around as John, tackling other kids as he was playing king-of-the-hill on the playground. This enables more emotion--a touch of roughness too. It would spark curiosity among players who don't know the background of John. After the king-of-the-hill section, skip to a cut-scence showing Dr. Hasley reach into her purse and pulling out a quarter. Show her ask John to play a game where she will flip the coin and he has to guess which side it will land on. Show her flip it, making sure that it flips several times, showing how John watches it very closely. Show how he guesses the correct-side, the Eagle side, enabling players to see how and why they chose John. Not just because he was a tough boy, but because he was also very intelligent and lucky. From this point, Bungie could veer in several different directions--letting players play through John's past experiences while they maintain a story with the other spartans, somehow mixing the whole thing together.

I would love to see a more emotional driven Halo story--giving new life to the series.

Pretty sure it's based on the first Halo book: The Fall of Reach. Which is why the first trailer said "falls 2010". I highly recommend the book to any Halo fan. It explains a lot more than the games ever have or will and is very entertaining.

It's not based on the Halo book "The Fall of Reach" by Eric Nylund. It may however have elements taken from that book, since it is official Halo canon...

I'm only saying this because of this :http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2009/12/13/kz123.aspx

I got it off of halo.bungie.org, apparently it's an official press release or whatever, and it confirms the Spartans as Spartan III's, which weren't in Eric Nylunds first Halo book.
