i thinks you need to grab a can of black glossy spray paint and take it to your xbox and gamecube so it doesn't break up the solid blackness :) other then that very nice, whats the deal on the vizio (specs?)?KoRn_Eddy_88
i know huh? lol oh the vizio is: 26 inch LCD the box it came in said "720p max resolution" BUT i reciently found out it can do 1080p i dont know how :| but im not complaining i found this out buy playing with the resolution option on the xbox and ps3 and for the hell of it i put it on 1080p i was expecting the screen to go blank but sure enough it desplayed everything crisper and brighter! i was like this -----> but yeah apperently they can do that :P :| :D
oh and i got it at walmart for $480 it was a steal ;)
nice
dig the glossy black theme
I've been thinking about posting pictures of my gaming setup as well, but was worried a mod would freak out on me - in case such topics aren't allowed or something. I take it from your thread, there is no harm in it.
UncleLev
i dont think the mods should trip on it... why would they? i wanna see your setup and everyone elses if they can post it up. :)

Why not, i have it up in the thread i linked earlier so its just a matter of copy and paste. Everything hooked up to my 40 inch 1080p Samsung.
Yeah, that last one was a really nice setup as well.
Reason I was worried about posting a thread with pics of my own was because I know the good folks and gamespot love rules - we seem to have them about everything here, and I know that posting about certain topics is a no-no since you are supposed to use one of the already created threads on the subject.
So there is no problem with creating my own topics for this sort of thing then..?
whatTVis that, and where did you get it?I know there is a lot of threads like this but what the hell :P what do u guys think? (i also have the same thread in the ps3 forum but would like to share with my xbox brothers :D)

It doesn't do 1080p it does 1080i (http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=24), however 360 and PS3 run natively in 720p anyways so your not gonnasee a huge improvement in1080 and it will just slow down your frames per second. The TV is a little small for my likings but it is still a cool budget set up!
OWNED!!!!!!!!!Deominator
What size is that LCD? It looks like a wierd square shape. Also your setup is way to cluttered and I personally find the sword collection to be a little tacky but that's just me:) (You should probably take back the "OWNED" though cause the only sweet part about the pic is the stack of games.

I was wondering the same thing and googled it, all I found was this http://www99.epinions.com/Yamaha_RX_Z1_Natural_Sound_Home_Theater_Receiver_Receivers
There doesn't look to be a package with speakers or anything so you would have to probably buy everything else seperatly
^ He may have the 8.1 reciever, but he probably only has 4 speakers hooked up to it. And in that mess of things I am sure the sound quality s*cks.
I would post a pic of my set up, but it is currently under re-construction. My wife and I just bought a new 46" Samsung LCD 1080p, and I am waiting for our new entertainment center. But I have a Pioneer 7.1 channel reciever, and I bought all the speakers seperate. I don't understand the reason to even have an 8.1 channel system when 7.1 does a great job.

Well i dont know how to post direct pictures in this forum but yeah heres my thing.....
i try the img thing and it wont work

i think you should remove the owned tooThat has to be the sweetest racing setup I've ever seen!Deominator
Thanks man, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I've got a big screen in the living room that I play games on too, but since racing takes up almost all of my gaming time I usually stay there.
EDIT: found a pic of the big TV. Not too fancy, projection screen, only does 720p/1080i. I'll probably wall mount a 1080p LCD in its place before the end of the year.

Seeing you projection makes me wish I had kept mine! I had a 52" Toshiba 720p/1080i, but had to give it away due to the space constraints I had last year. Nice house by the way!
man those are some sweet setups!!! im so jealous!!! lol oh well i just started having my own stuff im only 21 so yay for me :D anyway to the guy that said my tv only dos 1080i i know it is very hard to believe but l;et me post up a linkto thevideo i made last night of me switching between the different resolutions ok?

I would have believed you anyways. I have a 26" Toshiba for one of my compters that's only supposed to go to 720p or 1080i, but when you flip the 360 or PS3 to 1080p on it the television prompts in the top left corner that it is indeed displaying in 1080p. Sometimes the support for it is there and the specs on the set are incorrect. it made my day when I found it out because I only paid like $600 for it and your typical 26" does not support higher than 720p

dude, i hate u. very nice very nice
i'm currently in the process of moving so i have no tv stand, but ill post a picture in a few minutes.
btw you all suck :)
the two speakers are a part of a 2.1 bose cinemate system. I plan on upgrading to a true 5.1/7.1 sound system when i get to my new house, and a true tv stand...not a dresser ontop of a lock box lol
Sweet set-up always cool knowing people can enjoy their games with Highdef and good audio.
I currently have...
Sony WEGA rear projection LCD 50" 720p ( I want a 1080p sooooo bad! )
Onkyo 7.1 reciever with HD sound support.
Klipsch Quintet SL 5.1 speaker setup with Klipsh 12'' Sub
PS3, Xbox 360, Wii.
I'll try and post a picture later, at work at the moment.
