I'll go to 20.
1. Mass Effect (best single player game ever made.)
2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (ate up over 100 hours of my life...)
3. Gears of War (barely surpasses Uncharted 2, a very similar multiplayer, for the best online game ever made.)
4. Halo 3 (despite being a linear game, the wealth of option in every facet of Halo 3 made it feel like a sandbox, this is how you make a shooter.)
5. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (excellent online with very few imbalances, and a fun SP.)
6. Call of Duty: World at War (game is practically tied with CoD4 for me when you factor in campaign co-op, death cards, zombies and the multiplayer that is just as good as CoD4 in terms of its build, but I prefer CoD4 for its setting.)
7. Grand Theft Auto IV (best sandbox game I have ever played, despite the stiff controls.)
8. Dragon Age: Origins (though I own it on PS3, this is the only traditional RPG I have ever played, and its a blast to playthrough. Amazing characters and an engrossing world are huge pluses.)
9. Gears of War 2 (A better campaign than the original, the amazingly fun horde mode, and an online that, while not quite as good as the original's, offers its own perks and strengths.)
10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Full of B.S? yes. Fun? Yes.)
11. Mass Effect 2 (amazing game, but the nerf's RPG elements and lackluster story put it far behind the original)
12. Fable 2 (very fun game, despite the failed promises)
13. Saints Row 2 (most wacky sandbox game I have ever played. Loads of fun to be had here.)
14. Saints Row (see above)
15. Borderlands (great RPG in its own right, in co-op its legendary)
16. Bayonetta (not a huge fan of hack n' slashes generally, but this one takes serious skill, the huge bosses are epic as well)
17. Condemned: Criminal Origins (horrifying game full of atmosphere and visceral combat)
18. DiRT 2 (one of the best racers on the 360, just sim enough to feel realistic, but just arcadey enough to remain loads of fun)
19. Burnout: Revenge (favorite arcade racer)
20. Metro 2033 (most atmospheric game ever. Crazy experience even if the gunplay sucks)

FINALLY someone who agrees with me on Mass Effect 2, the RPG elements in the first one made the game, still clueless on why it was taken out in the 2nd one.The reason most people like ME2 over ME is because the combat feels a lot better. If ME3 is a combination of ME and ME2 it will be amazing, great combat with great rpg elements.
Agreed, but it all falls down to what type of gamer are you. Do you like third person shooter more or do you prefer the RPG aspect. In this situation though, RPG elements came first so one would expect to get it again in the 2nd one. I will say ME2 was hella good, but I missed the deeper character development with skills, armor and weapon customization that were nullified in the 2nd one.
