Im sure you have gotten a repair for your 360 at least one time. Do you think microsoft's repair sevices where any good? It has been about one month sinceiv'e first requested for a repair for my most recent system faliure. The process has been all but good. When ever i try for an online repair i keep getting amessage stating my serial number is already in use. I called the 18004myxbox and they told me complete nonsence, and most of the time i couldn'tunderstand the woman on the phone. Soon after i thought i realized what i was doing wrong and successfully submitted an online repair request. All was swell asi patiently waited for my box with instructions to come. Yet today i go onto the support website to check the status of my repair only to discover it was canceleddue to a serial id number error. Maybe microsoft is waiting for my warrenty to expire so i'll have to pay the 100$ fee, who knows. This will be my 4th time havingto send my 360 in for repaires and the first time ive been rejected by them

If you can tell me anything useful it will be very appreciated

I never sent mine in - I got the E74 on my original unit 13 months after I bought it - but I had the 2 yr replacement plan from Best Buy - brought it back the same day and walked out with a brand new one with the upgraded 60 gb hard drive (mine originally was the 20 gb)

All I can say is hope that your system lasts a bit longer and start saving for a new one

I can't really vote as I have mentioned in a previous thread, I have had my xbox360 for 3 years and have never had to send it back to be repaired. I'm having a bit of disc drawer trouble but nothing a bit of patience and pushing won't sort out,

It's not fair to the 360 to have Never (I hardly use it) and not a just plain Never My 360 has been used almost every day for over 2 years and it still hasn't had so much as a hiccup yet.

You have to talk to them like you mean business. I always had a hard time understanding the person on the phone too which makes talking to them frustrating. They tried to charge me twice for repair and I put my foot down and laid down the facts to them. This was a long time ago though. Funny to hear them say hold on a sec. and come back to say I do not have to pay. Got an email of apology and month free Xbox Live which was crappy since was already gold. Would be best to call them to gain information on why the problem is happening with the number. If they are telling you wrong things then you have to lay down the facts to them. They even ask you questions to mess up the warranty like do you have a fan connected or is your box by speakers. I believe they say that these could have done the damage and is not their fault so can't get fixed for free. This is what I was told when sent mine in for repair but mine was dropped did not have the red lights. Of course I lied so that to get my warranty and get box fixed. Never told them I dropped it but was never asked neither. Lieing is ok I believe in some situations : ) but you have to be somewhat good at it.

I selected "Never" on your poll & am writing a comment to clarify . . . "NEVER" means "NEVER", NOT "Never (hardly use it)"! Just needed to clarify a biased poll!

Make sure you purchase an extension on your warranty unless you want to purchase another xbox like I did.
