My xbox 360 was stolen...question

Well my xbox 360 was stolen today(don't want to get into it), and I just have a question for you guys.

When I buy a new system am I going to be able to use my old gamertag from my previous system on it? I don't give a crap about saved games or anything, I just don't want to have to fork out 50 more for another XBL and lose my rankings on Halo 3 and CoD4.

Any help is much appreciated :)

Alright, do I just do it on my system or is it something on xbox.com?

i hope you learn your lesson and protect your 360 better next time. Keep your recipt, write down the serial # and contact M$ to see if there is a way you can lock your old 360 from connecting to Xboxlive. That would be funny if you could do that.

and yes you can recover your gamertag on a new 360 when u connect it to xbox live the first time. The HD really just stores things like game saves and media like music and videos. (as far as i know)

Well It's not much of a theft story lol, I was at the gym working out and my sister(who happens to be addicted to a few substances) stole it and I haven't seen her in a few days. My parents won't kick her out due to fear of her being on the streets or some bullcrap.

I'm just glad I can get all the stuff I worked for back. Thanks for the replies.
