I can't believe this would happen, ive only had Halo 4 for a day, i was playing and my nephew knocked over my xbox, and it got an error. No big deal, i'll just restart the xbox, then it wouldn't read the disc so i open up my xbox to see that the disc has 4 complete circles going around the disc. I've just spent £40 on this damn game and my xbox just destroyed it, is there anything i can do to get it working again!?

Thats one thing with the 360...you do not want to even bump the thing when its playing anything because you will get rings around your disc. your lucky your 360 still works after taking a dive like your explaining. Unfortunetly theres nothing you can do besides purchasing a new game. Thats why if you buy it at Gamestop, pay the 3 stinkin bucks to get the game protection and you can exchange the thing. sorry man that blows

Never understood why people leave it sitting up. That's asking for that to happen with how fast the disc spins. The only thing you can do is replace it, or do what monsieurx says

I used to be able to wipe my scratched discs with a wet cloth and they would work. I wouldn't recommend that now, though.

If you have a Replays near you, they have really cheap disc-cleaning services.

Not to put to fine a point on it but technically your nephew destroyed the game. Just sayin'. Smyths also have a resurfacing service if there's one near you.

sounds like that little child mommy or daddy need buy you new game... You really shouldn't have it on the ground, and you would 100% off better putting it on it's side.

I don't think the ring around the disc is able to get buffed back to working working condition. You're screwed man.

If you have enough hard drive space you can always get a working copy from someone. Install the game to the hard drive and then use the ringed disc to start the game.

Your nephew scratched your disc, it was nothing at all to do with your 360

If you have only had it for a day then there is no reason why you cant exchange it. This is why I install every game.

lol i learned this lesson the very first night -never stand the 360 up , its just asking to fall -gravity wins , and your game will be screwed and to those suggesting repair --when the 360 scratches the game its irrepairable . i tried with my gta iv your just gonna have to buy another one and walmart has it black friday for 25 bucks
