Anyone know of any sites/articles that explain all of NBA 2k8's controls in detail as the game manual and in-game help is pathetic. For example, hook shots, fade aways, ball skills, alley oops etc. would be very appreciative of any help. thanks.

Unfortunately, I was unable to dig up the control scheme in the quick search that I did, and you are not likely to get any real help on this forum. As you may have noticed, most of the people that post here are mindless drones that cannot make their own decisions about what video game to buy. Every other thread, if not more is, "what game should get?" with an attached poll, which is identical to the 3 threads about it before. I get banned for a day, for saying **** and not covering it properly, but people are allowed to clog up the forums with repetative questions 24 hours a day.
