The demo just got out and to be honest, it didn't feel like NBA 2k7... I think EA took the pie for all the sports games this year... I loved 2k7... But oh well. The passing seemed like the ball would teleport to the other players hand. And when they'd dribble it'd look like the ball would teleport from hand to hand. Reminiscent of NBA Live 07. The graphics are sub par too. Barely a step up from 2k7. Gameplay wise... I guess it's okay but this time around I found Live 08's gameplay to be much better.
Oh and the frame rate drops A LOT. Well not that much but whenever you do a cool lay up or dunk, the camera quickly goes to the player that did it and focuses on him and during that period of time the frame rate drops. And during the slam cam, the frame rate drops too.
2k is still better its just the demo its missing commentary and everything dont base the demo on how the game is going to be 2k has always had better basketball game and they wont stop this year for sure. Lebron plays just like himself the animations are awesome
um, im sorry but live 08 is so awful. nothing against the people who made it, just it feels sluggish.
2k8 is much different then last years but if you play it and pay attention to the little details that they have made. you would understand why it still is the best basketball simulation. i noticed that players actually do the proper type of shot depending on their situation unlike last years where tthey would try the same thing over and over.
i played 2k series since 2k5 and this years game is much improved. it feels slightly slower but once you get used to how the game plays, you will notice its much better.
