NBA Live 07 if you're more into freedom while playing ball. 2k7 is controlled by the computer alot. Its not as hands on. If you know lots of basketball go for Live 07. If you're more for an arcadey game go for 2k7.
from personal experience. (cause i have 2k7 and rented 07 at the same time) i would have to say this: Even though Nba live 07 has a slight graphical advantage its the gameplay that kills it and the re occuring glitches. For example : in 2k7 the players a bold models thus when they dunk and stuck there hand dont randomly go throught the back board or rim, however in live 07 its done almost everytime. Also nba 2k7 has just so man game modes enough to get you throught to an evident of nba 2k8. Also Live's online is dispicable (EA!!!!) NBA 2k7 online is quite amazing as you can start leagues enter tounreys basicaly the whole nine yards. Therefore BY FAR NBA 2k7 is better than NBA Live 07
Get 2K7 because it has great graphics and good gameplay, there are so much game mode to choose from. And live 07 they look like short plastic dolls or some type of over oiled baby of some type. Trust me live 07 looks wack and plays wack.

Live 07 has no type of graphical advatage, they look like toys
Live has amazing visuals, and amazing animations which help the game feel more real. However the gameplay is broken, and there is no defense at all. It is fun to play, but it doesn't really play all that realisticly. NBA 2k7 is a more real game of basketball, but really isn't that great itself and has god awful graphics. Id say get neither.

2k7 is arcadey? Why do you think Live is mentioned as DUNKFEST year after year? 2k7 is the best basketball game out period. It does have small uniform glitches but nothing that takes away from any of the gameplay.
I bought Live 07 (I was always a huge Live fan before this iteration) and I traded it in at GameSpot about 2 weeks later. I went and picked up 2K7 and found it to be a better game.

What The Hell are you thinkg?!? This is backwards! NBA Live 07 is more arcadish than NBA 2K7. And to answer the poster's question, NBA 2K7 is way better than Live 07 any day of the week!
