But yeah, get Tales of Vesperia.

I'm playing Final Fantasy XIII on PS3 right now and it's quite amazing.

So, that's my suggestion.

Eternal Sonata if you are a bit of an otaku.

For JRPGs, I suggest FXIII and Lost Odyssey. For Western RPGs, you can't go wrong with either Fallout 3 or Dragon Age.

The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion, amazing RPG one of my favourites played it through 4/5 times and never got bored, also if you have the cash get the GOTY edition, a whole new island to explore with 10+ hours of playtime, many new quests and items. Definetely reccommend this game.

Tales of Vesperia, Final Fantasy XIII for JRPGs, and Fallout 3 for WRGs.

Tales of Vesperia. Good story, great gameplay, and looooong. My first playthrough was around 90 hours. I'd also recommend Lost Odyssey, FF 13, and anything made by Bioware.

Star ocean was quite well.
