Need a good shooter

I just recently got xbox live back after a 2 year hiatus :O hah. but yeah, i'm just wondering whats the BEST shooter for online mulitplayer. I hear ALOT abotu CoD, but then there is also Halo 3? I'm just looking for a good suggestion for a game too get. One that's lots of fun to level up, and just chill playin with your homies

My opinion is. 1.- gears of war 2 2.-Cod 4 or 5 3.- halo 3 All great games you wont get board off for awhile.Recontrooper

Ya, the cod series is pretty amazing, 4 or 5, whichever one you want to get.

Don't get Gears 2, the online multiplayer is broken. Your best bet would either be one of the Call of Duty's or Halo 3. I'd lean more with Halo but that's just opinion. And before anybody says anything about me being a Gears basher, I'm not I loved the first the second was just trash IMO.gamerfreak1991

i kinda like more in-depth games too? LIke being able to customize your guy and stuff, and leveling to get more stuff.... the only example that comes to mind is Rainbow Six Vegas?

Yes Team Fortress 2 is great but it does not have experience and you can't customize your character. Though classes are great and very different which makes it great if you want completely different characters.

but whats the real difference between cod4 and cod waw? like... i know ones modern and ones back in WWII. but which one is more fun?jonnyglitch8

I enjoyed CO:DWaw more because it has singleplayer co-op with four players and nazi zombie mode. Both are great combat wise but i prefer COD:Waw because it isn't as fast paced as COD4 and offers larger maps. Though both are amazing and i have no doubt that you will be satisfied with whichever you buy.

WaW is better. Modern Warfare plot is yet another stupid war against Middle East with no sense at all, just discrimination against that population. WaW takes the WWII in an excellent way. Besides, WaW multiplayer is very fun, it has also Campaign Co-op and an excellent mode called Nazi Zombies. Also, one map pack was released for this game and a second pack is on its way. Get WaW.

If you want to look to another option besides CoD, I highly recommend you BF Bad Company, it's great with pals.

wait for this holiday season to buy halo 3: odst, modern warfare 2, and battlefield bad company 2.

I'd say Gears 2. The multiplayer isn't screwed up anymore and if you have one friend it is extremely fun. If you want a multiplayer game with lots of people I'd say Halo 3. CoD 4 is fun but I got bored of it really fast. Halo I always go back to.
