Hi. I need a j/rpg which will keep me amused for hours. Doesn`t have to be the latest games either.

I want a game with a non-linear story line, lots of gameplay time, and just an all round game that i can chop the npc`s up etc.

Samurai swords and maybe bow and arrows or similar etc would be nice.

Thanks in advance, Bountifulz.

Well, you can't chop up NPC's but Lost Odyssey is amazing. It is JRPG goodness to the core, and imho amazing. I also enjoyed eternal sonata a lot, however, it's story is hella linear.

there's no multiplayer whatsoever. the back of the box says there's content download, but so far there's no content. don't know what the cheapest price is. it's still a fairly new game, so expect the usual price

Apart from Losst Odyssey, there's also Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata and Enchanted Arms. But they're not that great...

Eternal Sonata's awesome, but from what I've heard, Blue Dragon and Enchanted Arms are not.

yup i loved eternal sonata's gameplay is sorta like tales of symphonia, the only thing i didn't like so much was the stoy and it wasn't that bad, still have to finish it though...

I saw Blue Dragon at Target for $15. Plus its a great JRPG. Less linear then most too.

Brother, I would have to say either Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, or Eternal Sonata, I would go with Lost Odyssey, but I got some more good info for you, Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant, and Tales of Vesperia are suppose to be coming this year, so that should be 3 pretty good JRPGs this year.

A good Japanese RPG on the 360? Seriously.

I love the 360, but you aren't going to find a decent RPG on it. Eternal Sonata comes close, but Lost Odyssey doesn't cut it for me. You won't find a decent RPG on the 360 until Atlus has enough interest in it to put the next Shin Megami Tensei game (or spin-off) on it. Only then will the 360 have a decent RPG.
