In case anyone is wondering, it's also up in Europe. I'm downloading it now. I'm skeptical about it though. It seems as far as the Need for Speed series go EA refuses to listen to fans. After Underground II fans wanted even more customization. They not only refused to listen to this but they cut out 80% of it in the next game. After Most Wanted people wanted hotter chases. They pretty much screwed it up in Carbon and they even left it out completely in ProStreet.
I just don't know. The customization and police was pretty much all people wanted in one game. Well, that and neon (I'm not kidding there have been countless threads on the EA forums to bring neon back). But they seem not to listen to this. It's good that they keep the series fresh though by changing it, but I'm skeptical until I've played it. Which should be in a few minutes.

well, i must admit that being chased by the police in a city environment is what made NFS:most wanted so great..
I don't know what will be in the final game, but so far the demo is pretty darn boring... looks good though, and the sense of speed is really great..
Also, the nitro boost is one press, and if you let go, it doesn't stop... so you can't control the length of your boost.....

Well, they tried to make ProStreet more realistic then previous installments so not being able to control your nitrious length and such makes sense. But I just think there isn't enough there to make it worth a purchase or even a rent. I haven't played it yet though so I'm just guessing.
How's the controls? More realistic then before?

I tried it out earlier but found it considerably easier than the previous demos. I like the way they introduced some driving aids. Although, I changed it so my car doesn't slow down automatically. Makes it too easy.Thorpe89
Keep in mind that the cars you control in the demo were more powerful than what the competition had.
I understand that. The demo was pretty limited about car selection.Thorpe89
preety limited man it chose the car for you i would call that extremely limited.. and i though that was great and i had fun in speed challenge because at first it wasnt easy to controll the car at those speed especially when i wuold get neer theother cars.
