Need help?

I just turned 18 the other day and my xbox-live has the parent control thing on it so i can't change certain stuff without my parents aprovel.

Is there a way I can change the settings from parent controlled to me controlling? My parents said it was ok, cause I'm old enough.

Yes there is a way, I had the same problem before. Unfortunately I do not recall how and I am away from my 360 right now. Just keep looking on the dashboard for something like family settings or something like that. Good Luck.

same thing with me...im 17 ....and i cant dowload certain videos..n stuff it sais this account is not able to download content wit this rating..n i got all the parent stuff like off..or put to so i can supposebly download anyting...rated m rated anyting but i stil cant dowload rated m stuff...homie13_9

Yeah, I know exactly what you guys are going through. I had to sit on the phone for an hour with some outsourced chick from India or whatnot. Anyways...

What you have to do if you account is a "child account" is migrate it to a different credit card. It's done right through your account settings, there's an option in there that says something like "promote child account." It's a pain in the ass, but you will have all of your same settings and dowload content. Your subscription on the other card will automatically get cancelled and transfered to the new one. I'm almost positive thats the only way it can be done becuase I tried alot of work-arounds and nothing seemed to take.
