Gears of War, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 3 are all great choices to start off with, unless your not a fan of intense action packed shooters.

Or if you've never owned the original Xbox then you should definately check out the Halo games so you can get caught up on the story.

I got the best time out of my X360 by buying Oblivion for it, But I also bought Cod 3, they are both good games. But CoD 3 has a good online thing going on, but than... Oblivion is getting a new expansion, so it't a good bet seeing as you're new to it.
